  1. When I was searching for games ROMs for my collection, I found this game inside a torrent with 2000+ files (almost 2600 roms, LOL) its called Shadow Keep, programmed by Andrew Towers, released in 2003. I realized that this game is not among the rest of the Self-Published homebrews, my question is Does anyone knows about this game, if its a homebrew or a Work In Progress? Shadow_Keep.bin Sorry about the title screen, it's not clear what it says, but has a cool shadow efect.
  2. Thanks! Now I know why such games have so many files -_- it was a bit confusing
  3. Oh. I see the same thing with Sound X. so there's one file that shows the game as-is, and other the title only right?
  4. I have 2 roms of Edtris 2600 (Hozer Video) but it seems that the one with the title screen cannot be played and the other can be played but has no title screen. What's the clue about this? Can be played the titled one? please i need to know why =l Edtris_2600.bin Edtris_2600__95_.bin
  5. not easy to convert? it's the most easy game to hack/convert. I made a hack of another game based in Chopper Command it was a bit hard at the beginning but i made it after a few days here it is http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=89017&hl=
  6. I know that, thanks to you. I just want to tell this to everyone who reads this post, and if it's possible someone can modify the existant PAL roms into NTSC. Thanks, rom.
  7. I was collecting all the atari 2600 games that are available on the web and found out that there aren't NTSC conversions for the next games originally released in PAL (Europe): General Retreat/Westward Ho (Playaround) Forest (Sancho) Words Attack (Sancho) Panda Chase (Homevision) Motocross (Quelle) Treasure Island A.K.A. Duck Shoot /Kampf um die Schatzinsel (Suntek) Note that I'm not including other games that were PAL releases only but are clone/bootleg versions of known games, mostly activision games, i.e. Wachrobot Jagt Jupy (Keystone Kapers clone released by Quelle, I'm not sure) Someone can hack easily Keystone Kapers so it can looks like that game A.K.A. Hey! Stop! Does anyone owns the above mentioned games in NTSC mode? Or anyone can hack or disassemble such games?
  8. Well it's not precisely a new game, it's in fact a hack of a game by Datatech "Unknown Game #1" which it's a hack of what it looks like Seaquest, but it's not Seaquest.... it's Chopper Command! What Datatech did is to take Chopper Command game, put some graphics from Seaquest, changed some colors and replaced the scrolling Activision logo with a static Datatech logo. You can see the pictures of the mentioned games and the latest hack I named as "Seaquest Command", where I changed the colors to the layout so it looks more like Seaquest or any other Activision game and replaced logo with the original Activision scrolling logo, as in Chopper Command. I combined two codes, from Chopper and TUG#1, in a single bin file. Seaquest_Command.bin Datatech_Unknow_Game_1.bin Give your opinion about these games ^^
  9. Hi all! I'd like to present you my new color improvement hack this time goes for Title Match Pro Wrestling from Activision / Absolute. 3 of 4 characters have new colors, and both versions are NTSC it only changes the company name. Also I included my Double Dragon color improvement hack for those who missed it the first time. ENJOY! 10. That's frying? I though it was pulling the cartridge side to side in a violent way without turning power off, just pulling and seeing how your favourite game is getting scrambled in a funny way well i guess is the same result. It worked for me with Frogger, I obtained the same results when I tried frying button in stella and when I did cart pull back in the 80's. That's right! It is the same image I remember in my childhood. And the scrambled tune as well. Give it a try!
  11. OK, what you see here is the rom I previously attached in this post, I used Hack-O-Matic and randomly altered a data, when I opened the bin in Stella it appeared as NTSC mode without the common flicker. It is in address 080a |XX_X____| 11010000 d0 I just added a dot right next to the third "X" and as result 080a |XX_XX___| 11011000 d8
  12. Yup, I agree with you Rom. No doubt the name of this game is Treasure Island, I just translated the german title from Quelle at google as "Figth for the Treasure Island". When I saw for the 1st time this rom was Duck Shoot, and I though the game was about fight between wooden ducks with cannons but in fact are pirate ships. Thanks, ROM!
  13. Weird. I saw also two games from 20th Century Fox with the Activision logo : Fast Eddie and Turmoil. What relation have Activision and Fox? It is the same as Imagic - Activision?
  14. OK I'm looking for this game in NTSC format : Duck Shoot, also known as "Kampf um die Schatzinsel" ("Fight for the Treasure Island") or simply "Treasure Island", but every binary I found over internet is PAL format only. I altered the only existing rom and it seemed to be a nice NTSC mode, the screen doesn't rolls like when the screen mode is changed in stella but after game start it flicks and it's really annoying. So here I post the hacked rom so you can know what it looks like. Please I need help in finding a totally functional version of this game for NTSC.Fight_for_the_Treasure_Island.bin
  15. Well here's my final version of the hack. Now I call it "Double Dragon Improved", I've decided not to continue with the full ROM edit because it's complicated for me to find and replace the rest of the graphics. Guess I feel I made enough with altering the main characters gfx Double_Dragon_Improved.bin
  16. Hello again. Just want to tell you that my hack isn't complete yet. I spent last night in reaching final mission and noticed some errors with the colors I put and now I'm fixing them, so again I will upload a final review of the rom. For those who are curious about my work, here's a screenshot of what I did now. If you have any suggestion about color/sprites/background reply please. ty. DD_Sample1.bmp
  17. Hi, I'd like to show you my Double Dragon 2600 hack, NTSC version with spirtes and characters colors changed, so this game can be a decent port of the DD series for the 2600. It's based on the DD hack, "Fistcuffs" which for me it's the only Double Dragon NTSC version available. I don't have a specific name for this hack so you can put it another name. I'm just going to replace the original rom with this new one in my collection. Honestly, original DD looks crappy. Double_Dragon_NewColors.bin
