  1. I like guessing or trying to figure out some of them, even though one is driving me crazy. Maybe including hints somehow would be fitting, like not showing the hint by default, but having the option to view a hint(s).
  2. Im not sure I like the auto-centering idea. I never like feeling trapped on a ladder. I think it would take away from the free roaming feel of the game and make it feel more restricted/on rails and give it a less polished feel. edit: looks like you posted as I was posting. Your idea of centering, but still allowing exit from sides may feel good. I guess we’d have to play it that way to see.
  3. I would love to get a copy of this game. Love the label and plays solid.
  4. Changing the title to Scrapyard "Lou" wouldn't be difficult. I'd have to check my edit files to make sure. However, IMO the current name is quite fitting for playing as the dog and sounds cuter... just IMO. When I get moved and settled in, I might have a go for you on that. But, are you referring to the original version hack or the Scraps hack? There's also a green title version of the original in the zip, just not for the Scraps version. If you're wanting the Scraps hack with a green title... and you don't want to wait for me... you can open them in a hex editor, run a compare on the original regular title vs green title, and it should only come up with one change. I think it's a single byte, like 2A to BA or something. I don't remember the exact colors. As for the copyright, I personally don't like putting my stamp on something just for hacking with it. I feel like I'd be disrespecting the actual programmer and original pixel artist(s) who did the hard work. But anyway, thank you very much for the feedback and support.
  5. Is that because of having to port the bupsystem emulator to the Evercade chipset? Yeah, too bad there's no 2-player link support. That would have been great for the Lynx carts as well. It's always good to see great games ported to the Switch, but I'd imagine we're only talking about a digital release?.. I only buy physical releases. I suppose a physical release would be a big investment, but there are plenty of companies that specialize in that, which might be the best way to guarantee sales since pretty much everything they put out is treated as collector items by collectors who buy no matter what (I'm kinda in that crowd). Minimal advertising needed that way too. I'm glad you've sold most of your stock, but sad to hear it wasn't what you'd hoped for. I've done my part though (bought 2 copies for myself, one for my brother, one as a gift for a friend who loves it, and I demo'd it at a gaming expo in Las Cruces - had it set up for all to play and told them where to buy).
  6. I'm in the middle of moving, but decided to give the secret game a try on my Phoenix. My high score on my 2nd try is 182,300. I thought I was going to get over 200K, but made a stupid move and got a game over instead.
  7. It would be great to see it ported to the Lynx, but only if it wouldn't set back other projects of yours too much. The ones you have in the pipeline are pretty exciting.
  8. I think this might be what you're looking for.
  9. I'll vote for his last submission, but in a lake near MY home. Edit: Up to 21 in Timeloop. Still a long way from 40.
  10. Ah okay. Yeah, I misunderstood who made that submission. Looks AWESOME so far. I really look forward to more.
  11. @karri ... "A gamer, like you, has a brain just small enough." Hey! I resemble that remark. Where is it located? I don't see it. For the others I see so far, all very nice. I quickly became addicted to Asteroids Chasers, although the "luck" factor can be quite frustrating. So many times I get a Mine followed by a Pirate, then 2 Mines in a row. No way to not game over on that combo. Still, the achievements keep me going back for more. Titan looks great. Haven't had time to play much yet. I really look forward to spending more time with Minimal. Timeloop is all kinds of FRANTIC. Quick exciting gameplay. I'm terrible at it though. My high score so far is 11... no idea how @drludos got 40! That's mastery level. Xump2 is more great Xump gameplay. Obviously an instant hit IMO. Sybil's Run looks cool. Again, haven't had much time for it yet, but I look forward to it. These are all the ones I'm aware of so far. Thank you to everyone who's shared their games or works in progress. All of you have been amazing and I really appreciate the new games. Of course, any that eventually get official releases on a cartridge will be an instant buy for me.

Of course the Lynx has no flaws! That would be absurd. But I think he was referring to the flaws in Handy. ... or at least I hope.
  13. I don't mean to step on any toes. I know this is not my project, but I thought I'd upload some quick mockups of some of the ideas mentioned by others. These are just quick jobs, so don't laugh too hard at the bad color edits.
  14. I was posting a response when it looks like you did something to the thread because it came up with a "page not found" error. Originally, the link didn't go to the post of the shirt, but after searching through the thread I assumed that's what you were referring to. The shirt is nice, but there's something about it that doesn't quite mesh well for me. I'm not sure if it's the pattern on the Jaguar logo or the placement. Maybe if the AA logo were slightly larger and the Jaguar logo were overlayed on it. Or maybe if the Jaguar logo were the same color as the AA logo. I can't quite place it. I made some quick mockups to see if I liked that layout better. I'm definitely not used to seeing a pattern on the Jaguar logo. Maybe that's what strikes me as off about it. Still not sure.
  15. It looks really good. You've given me a reason to dig out the keyboard controllers when I unpack at my new place. All the mentions of Activision got me thinking, do you have enough cycles (or whatever it would take at this point) to add the Activision sunset?
  16. @mart I share your excitement to sometimes share something you've worked on, but CJ has a point on this one. I love to make custom labels for things, but I've held back on sharing them after I started seeing labels I uploaded here end up on etsy and ebay. I've shared this story before, but it really irritated me when I made a friend locally who was into Jaguar and when he showed me his copy of Towers II and Zero 5, they had poor quality printed labels of the label art I uploaded on these forums. He didn't even realize he'd bought bootlegs until I told him. It really pissed me off that he got taken advantage of and that some dirtbag was using something I had been happy to share, thinking I was giving fellow Atari lovers nicer artwork for their Telegames Jag carts. My work was being used to rip people off. Yours will be too. It's sad, but true. ...And that's not even bringing up the other point that his games are about to be released on a compilation cart. I still like to make custom labels for some things, but instead of uploading the label art directly, I'll post a picture of it and if anyone wants to use it, they can PM me. That way I'm still freely sharing my work, but it won't be found by just anyone googling for artwork to put on their bootleg crap to sell on etsy or ebay. If it still ends up on those sites, at least I'll have a short list of people to know who's doing it. I'd encourage you that if you want to share something like this, you consider taking a low-res angled camera pic of a printed box (or art with a nice huge ugly watermark) and letting ppl PM you if they want the full art to make one for themselves.
  17. Do I understand correctly that the Nether Dungeons game is not currently up for pre-order, but will be announced at some point in this thread?
  18. Which rom did you have put on cartridge? That doesn't look like the final one in the 1st post (12-June). That mouth is from one of the earlier versions. There were quite a few changes like animation and alignment fixes I did between that earlier version and when I finished.
  19. Is this one of the games getting released soon, or is it still a long ways off?
  20. That looks great, but it's just not as good as his art from post #126. Seriously though, that's probably my favorite box ever so far. The colors, the way the art bursts out of the border area... just perfect.
  21. This was one of the main reasons I decided to get a WiiU a year or two ago. My wife had been playing the Gamecube a lot. The composite out didn't look good on our TV and the hdmi adapter I bought for the Wii didn't look good either (had diagonal lines). The WiiU (after hacking of course) looks the best so far for Gamecube games. I later bought an hdmi adapter for the Gamecube's other display port, but haven't tried it yet.
  22. I was on the site waiting for it to go live, put it in my cart when it did, hit refresh a couple of times wondering why the Lynx adapter wasn't going live, then my cart was empty due to being sold out. I've seen that happen with two other pre-orders in the past month. Both were errors with the website. One of them was fixed about 30 minutes later and the other was re-opened the following week after errors were corrected. I kept checking back every so often on the analogue site, but I've seen no mention of errors. I almost got upset, but the way I'm looking at it is: it's a fairly expensive device (especially when you consider that I was going to buy the dock, the game gear and the Lynx adapters to go with it). If they don't care to meet demand and don't want my money, I'll find a better use for it. I'm not going to waste energy on artificial scarcity or jumping through hoops to get a product I don't really need in the first place. I have other ways to play all the games (original consoles and emulation devices), so pfft 'em.
  23. Looks really cool. I look forward to the sale. One thing that stuck out to me was the abrupt transition between planets. Current planet disappears and new planet quickly zooms in. It doesn't appear this was due to video editing, or am I mistaken? If not, that's the one thing I would encourage improving: leaving the current planet with a flyby or something before arriving at the next one with the zoom in.
