  1. Hi everyone, its finally happened, I'm at the point where I'm ready to start unloading my collection. I wanted to give you guys the good folks at AA first crack at anything you might be interested in. This list contains something like 350 games, so unfortunately I'm going to start if off as a list with no pictures. These games are in various states of conditions, but assume the vast majority of them are working, have been played by me personally, and are usually in PAL UK version where applicable. Some of the older stuff like the master system might be Japanese or US copies, but generally is not an issue. If I own it, I can play it on a European console, as that's my near exclusive limit (outside a neo geo AES - not being sold!). Some are boxed, some are not. Some have instructions, some do not. They are all unsealed, there is no Wata level quality here. I'm a gamer, and these games were played. Please PM for interest in items, I can send prices for those games with images of boxes, manuals and state of disk/cart. Use this topic for general queries. I might be able to do pictures of specific collections of things, but nothing is in an easy to view format right now other than this list. Some things I can do prices now, but the lists are far too big. I'll try and update with time if I can. Hopefully obvious, but my native country is England, United Kingdom, prices will be in GBP £££ but will happily convert to your local currency, and give you potential postage to your country - just let me know where you live! Big orders I will try to do free postage, but all orders will be tracked shipping. If you live in Manchester/Liverpool, Cheshire, Birmingham area, Gloucestershire or Wiltshire we can discuss potential dropping off/meet instead, but note I live in Cheshire. About 6 months ago I started this topic: This was me processing letting go of significant number of games. Soon after I put my house on the market, and bought my next one up. In the process this took a backseat - and initially I had boxed about 100 games I was "ready" in mind to sell. This has now increased to something like 350, including PC games (hence why I'm going to start with lists, then will do pictures as requested). A few other things have happened, the work on the house has cost us considerably more than we planned, and the profit from the first house has already emptied to 0. We also had our car break down on moving day, and this caused issues with our buyers which cost us more money. The car has now fully broken down and we have had to borrow money to buy a 'new' (and by new, I mean 15 year old!) car. This is a bit of a boo-hoo story I know, but it leads to me realising that I have boxes full of cash I just need to get rid of, and I might be able to pay off the debt at least. I would also like to make sure I can manufacture some more Odyssey 1 multicards which I was planning on doing this month, but due to car - needs potentially delaying. Anyway... onto the list. I think there will be another cull at some point, but this is "second wave" culling and includes games like Zelda that I thought I would never get rid of. I've decided to get rid of my entire collection of N64 games, but don't get excited most are unboxed and all are relatively common-uncommon. PC: I need to form a list of PC games but I have already divided some up into prices, these are mostly "big box" games, though a mix of CD and floppy disk. If anyone is interested I'll try and develop a list asap. DOUBLES: These are just doubles I have for sale, I won't be selling any other games for these systems (1st, 2nd and selected 3rd gen consoles) Magnavox Odyssey: Volleyball boxed and complete. I'll take £90 for it as someone on ebay is going for that much. Atari 2600: Would probably sell both these games for a £5 to get rid of it. Both loose. Pac Man (double) Pitfall (double, I don't think this works on all 2600 machines... rubbish label before you ask) Voltmace Database (This is a 1292 alternative system, there is an adapter to use it in more common formats like the acetronic system, but I'm not selling it!): Various games, many boxed with instructions £10 each, 2 loose with instructions, £5 each. Collections being sold off: These are 1st and 2nd wave removals from my collections, other than the N64 which I'm selling fully there may be other games on these systems I'm selling in the future. Stuff like Neo Geo, Atari, Amiga and Philips alongside 32x, Mega CD, 3DO and TG16 etc are currently intending to be kept. NES: Adventures of Bayou Billy, The Bubble Bobble Donkey Kong Double Dragon III - The Sacred Stones Dr. Mario Duck Hunt Excitebike Golf Iron Sword: Wizards and Warriors 2 Jack Nicklaus 18 holes Kickle Cubicle Lemmings Mission: Impossible Pac-Man Super Off Road (Ivan Ironman Stewarts) Super Mario Bros. - Duck Hunt Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Zelda II - The Adventure of Link Sega Master System: Note some of these are US or Japanese carts, but work on PAL machines too. Most are boxed, but no instructions, so I'm cutting down the price on most of them. 3. The Nintendo 64 is, despite it's flaws, one of the greatest systems ever made. It bridged the gap for Nintendo from 2D to 3D, and was the last cartridge based home console until the release of the Switch earlier this year. The "Fun Machine" was just that. A true four-player local multiplayer machine, it was the last bastion of the "pre-online" console world, where local play was the goal, the more friends the better. Many would say the N64 graphics haven't aged well, that the games look "ugly." I disagree. It's no uglier than PS1 or Saturn in my book. Yes third party titles that were rushed and have minimal textures with maximum fogging don't look great these days, but many titles by Rare and Nintendo have really stood the test of time and look great to this day. Much has been happening with the N64 in recent years, including: -Some homebrew and hack/port action -RGB and HDMI modding for greater picture clarity and quality -An excellent Everdrive with a built in NES emulator -Custom system art, case modding, and LED modding -New gamecube "ball" style joysticks to replace the aging and deteriorating stock sticks The NES may have been my childhood system, but the N64 was my teen year "coming of age" system, and it will always hold a fond place in my heart as a result. For those of you that lived under a rock, here is a recap of 20 games that defined the system: Where to pick up and N64 everdrive: http://www.stoneagegamer.com/flash-carts/everdrive64-nintendo-64/cartridges/ RGB Mods: PM Yurkie on AA HDMI Mods: https://www.facebook.com/mobiusstriptech/?pnref=lhc, Also: http://www.retrofixes.com/ with more challenging availability Where to pick up the new Joysticks: https://www.amazon.com/Redesigned-REPLACEMENT-Joystick-Controller-Thumbstick/dp/B009MRZAUC/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1500479935&sr=1-3&keywords=n64+joystick Please post all your info, finds, memories, and news on the amazing N64 here.
  4. Here we have a Nintendo 64 console bundle with console, controller, power supply, composite AV cables and one game cartridge (Star Wars Episode 1 Racer). Everything is Nintendo-branded/OEM - no cheap replacements/knock-offs here! Everything has been cleaned and tested and works great. Very nice condition overall but console has a couple of scratches here or there. Asking $75 plus shipping. SOLD!!! Please see pictures below for exact condition of all items and shoot me a PM with interest. Thanks!
  5. The Nintendo 64 launched in North America 25 years ago today. Anyone have any good game recs? Now, no disrespect intended, because back in those days I was a huge PlayStation fan and I remember playing games like Twisted Metal 1-4, Castlevania: SOTN, All the Resident Evil and Wipeout games, Actual Platformers like the GEX and Pandemonium games, plus a host of RPGS like LUNAR, Arc the Lad, Final Fantasy, and the Suikoden series, Breath of Fire III, Legend of Dragoon, etc., and tons of Arcade ports...again, all on my Mighty PlayStation! So when the N64 launched I did not get one...Always figured I'd get one later; Much later as it turns out. Looking it up, I got one in 2009. ($91.50 with shipping for an N64, 3 controllers and 8 games in case anyone wondered). Then I bought even more games. I had some fun in the past, but ya know, without opening the box, I don't even remember what color it is haha. I know I had fun with Zelda, Mario Kart, and Mario 64. And I know Donkey Kong in 3D was Not a good idea, since Donkey Kong from 1981 was just a lot more fun (IMHO). And nowadays I do have an Everdrive so probably kind of have all the games, but I was looking for game recommendations from people who've played the system a lot more than me. Feel free to throw in memories from Back in the Day...
  6. Hello, I am selling off many items from my collection. I will not be taking a bath on shipping charges (I've made that mistake before), so be prepared to pay full shipping. I use USPS, and I know shipping charges have been high, but that's true for everyone. Unfortunately, video games cannot be shipped with Media Mail. Everything has been tested and works. USA sales only! (sorry). I reserve the right to refuse any sales. Also, I have a day job, and while I can make a trip to the Post Office most days, please be patient while I safely prepare your packages and get them shipped out. EDIT: Adding 32X. You'll have a hard time finding these games in better condition, all of them are spectacular. Toughman Contest has some sunfading on the outer box, but still in great shape overall. 32X: -After Burner $90 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35225-32xafterburnerjpg/ -DOOM $25 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35226-32xdoomjpg/ -Primal Rage $90 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35229-32xprimal-ragejpg/ -Toughman Contest $25 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35232-32xtoughmanjpg/ EDIT: Adding Sega Genesis. It is alphabetized, with direct links to the pictures next to the game and $Price. There are some big ticket items in here, everything is legit, I do not deal in counterfeit games! I bought these games well before the Chinese were making knock-offs, so feel secure that my games are originals. Namely, M.U.S.H.A. Some games have rental stickers or damaged labels etc...I have adjusted down the price accordingly. 7. My Retro/Vintage Gaming Hobby I Am a Child from the Dawn of the Video Game Age Taking a side trip here away from my adventures here. Anyone who knows me personally, can attest that I am somewhat of a geek and so it’s no surprise that I became an mechanical/aerospace engineer by trade. With that stated, I always had an interest in building things and tinkering with electronics, etc.. As I was growing up in the 70's I was fortunate to experience and be able to participate in the dawn of a new era. It all started simple enough with my father coming back from a business trip in Texas one year with one of the first ever digital calculators. I was hooked. I loved the display, the tactile feel of the buttons and the ease of use. I was further inspired when I saw advanced calculators becoming available and even into my high school and college years where I always had to have the latest programmable calculators for my science, math and eventually engineering courses. Now this seems pretty minor in this day and age, but back then, looong before cell phones, home computers, high level object oriented programming languages, etc.. this was an exciting era for me. Read more here... http://rubikonadventures.blogspot.com... A long time friend of mine came by for a visit one day and asked if it was OK to shoot video of my old video game collection and my "man cave" where I hibernate during the winter months when I am not out exploring. 8. What a way to kick off the latest round of the Retro Swap Box!
  9. ?I've never finished it but I played the original SHADOWMAN first on the N64 followed by the DREAMCAST then years later the PC version (from STEAM or GOG I cannot recall) of course, each version had some minor improved visuals but here I am again this time playing the recently released REMASTERED version on PC. It runs great and though still incredibly dated it's the best it's ever looked. I like the atmosphere and it's somewhat a guilty pleasure game. Here's a couple grabs I took just now. ANY FANS? ?
  10. I'm selling my personal collection of Nintendo (NES), Super Nintendo (SNES), Nintendo 64 (N64), and Gamboy Advance games. They have all been tested, and have never been stored in extreme temperatures. All my auctions start at $1. I have auctions ending every couple minutes on Sunday so you'll be able to bid until the last second on any you're interested in. Even if you already have some of the games I'm offering there is a good chance that my copy could be in better condition than the one you have because some of these were purchased by my family and I over 30 years ago and have not traded hands many times like a lot have. I do combine shipping! I'm selling my video game collection due to having some extra time during the pandemic. I really enjoyed cleaning up these games and would like to use the money from these auctions toward other games I can restore and recondition. Bidding on my auctions means that you're helping preserve video games while also putting me in a position to take this to the next level. I have made sure to get these games in the best condition I could prior to listing them. I spent several hours cleaning up these game cartridges and getting every bit of blemish off of them so that you don't have to. I understand that the reason some games sell for more is because of how good of condition they're in, and I went to great lengths to get these in the shape they are in. I have auctions ending every couple minutes on Sunday so you'll be able to bid until the last second on any you're interested in. Below is a direct URL to my eBay page. Thanks for looking! 14. Hi, I am happy to have this console, but wanna know if anybody tested hack that was present from 2017-2018. I not speak Japanese and not wanna brick console or sth. Just wanna know if there is possibility to reflash stock fw. Saw some videos on Twitch where Mupen64 was used, there is also possibility to use other emulators/cores. Link to GitHub page of project https://github.com/hissorii/retrofd Link to some blog posts http://blog.livedoor.jp/akira2005/ Nintendo 64 on Retro Freak https://www.twitch.tv/videos/169903803?filter=highlights&sort=time
  15. I'd like to get at least an N64 game this month and I have some options. To make a long story short, I own a Nintendo 64 that I bought from my cousin years and years ago fro pretty much nothing. These are the games that came with the system: Super Mario 64, Bomberman 64, Quake 2, Automobili Lamborghini, Chopper Attack, ISS 98, Duke Nukem 64, Space Station Silicon Valley, Star Wars Shadow of the Empire and Turok. Some of the options I have include in my immediate wish-list include Diddy Kong Racing, Mickey's Speedway USA and Pokemon Snap. Am I missing something? I don't know that many Nintendo 64 games because everything that I played was on emulators more than a decade ago and I just focused on Super Smash Bros. and the Zelda games that are hard to come by here and extremely expensive. Also, a copy of ISS 2000 recently surfaced, I thought that game was one of the rarest of the system and the seller is offering for not that much (around $34 to be more specific). Should I go for it? Is that game that rare? Thanks in advance!
