I was watching one of the latest Nintendo Collecting videos where he speaks about how Pokemon games are crazy expensive right now and he also speculates what's going to happen in the near future. Today I saw that some of the Pokemon Ranger titles are really expensive too, especially Shadows of Almia and I'm tempted to get more than one copy so that I can resell it or trade it in the future. I know that there's a huge market for Pokemon games of the main series, I also know that Pokemon Snap has increased in price because a new Pokemon Snap has recently been announced. But I can't for the life of me, figure out why Shadows of Almia is 50 USD and why Guardian Signs is more than 20 USD. And that's just for the cartridge itself, CiB copies are even more expensive. I know those games are cool and everything, but am I missing anything? Do people suddenly realized that those games are rare/hard to get? Is everyone getting them all of the sudden? I'm more than welcome to other crazy ideas or conspiracy theories. Oh and here's the video I mentioned https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR_3pNlaR7k

I recently bought a Datel Action Replay: Ultimate Pokemon Codes (GBA) second-hand, and it looks like the filesystem on the storage chip is toast. Has anyone attempted or had any luck repairing one of these? After some research it looks like later units had a USB port, so I soldered in a USB-micro header, but had no luck connecting to the official software under Windows 10 or in a Windows XP VM. Any ideas on how to reset the device or fix this problem? I've checked the documentation and tried the usual L+R+A+B+START combinations (and some variations) to no avail. Suggestions are appreciated. I'm comfortable with soldering to the chips, etc. if I need to, just wanted to feel out whether anyone else has repaired one of these devices. Thanks! One of my favorite parts about playing Pokemon HeartGold on the Nintendo DS was the game's post content. More specifically, I'm referring to the number of legendaries you could catch. Over the past few years, I sort of lost track of Pokemon games and since I played HeartGold to death, I didn't feel the need to play another one of those. That said, I really want to get back into the series, so I recently got Ultra Sun and I just started playing Alpha Sapphire. My question is simple, but I can't really find a straight answer: which Pokemon game has the most number of legendaries. I know some of the latest Pokemon games have a ton of legendaries, but you can only get one of two per version and you need both of those to get a third or something awfully specific like that. What I was wondering is, which game has the most legendaries if you only play one version and you do no trading at all. If my memory serves me right, HeartGold had Mewtwo, the three dogs, the three birds, Lugia and Ho-Oh and more, I want more of that and I was wondering if I'm going to be disappointed with Alpha Sapphire and Ultra Sun. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I just got a used copy of Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS and when I launch the game it's in Spanish. Thing is, everything in the game is in English (box, cart, manuals, AR cards and so on.) In fact, the cartridge is for US 3DS consoles and mine's from over there. I assume I need to delete the save that's in there and maybe I get the option to select a language from withing the game? Or maybe the game's in Spanish and I'm stuck with it until I'm done with it? I have no idea, so if anyone knows the answer to this question, I'd really appreciate it since it would save me a ton of time. Thanks!

A few years ago, I got a Nintendo 64 with a bunch of games and the transfer pak. The accessory was part of the Pokemon Stadium bundle and I recently discovered that you could use the transfer pak to transfer your monsters to the N64 game, but also to play Pokemon Yellow, Red and Blue. I was wondering if that's a good way to experience those games on the big screen, since tracking down copies of Pokemon Stadium and any of the Game Boy games is going to be an expensive proposition for me. I know the N64 resolution is quite low and I don't know how its controller handles a traditional Pokemon, so does any of you have any experience with this? Is it worth adding those games to my collection so that I can play Pokemon on a big CRT? Or do you think that's just a waste of money? Any resources that you can throw my way will be greatly appreciated since the only thing I've found was a video on "My Life as Gaming". Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking of buying some Repros of Pokemon games, but I was interested in any input or feedback someone might have on these. Interested in a repro of Pokemon Crystal because the real copies are $40+ right now. I know the Chinese bootlegs are cheap and poorly made. Any input on Repros or the hacks is greatly appreciated! I got Shiny Gold randomly and it seems good and appears to work just fine.

I know this is AtariAge and not NintendoAge, but maybe some of you still want to check out a nice new homebrew game for the obscure Nintendo Pokémon Mini system:

So I've been more into retro gaming lately and I've been neglecting my 3ds. But with Pokemon x, y coming out I'm now back on the horse. I never traded all my pokemon from My copy of white to black 2 as I had intended. I haven't really seen how trading will work in the x, y series. I was wondering if someone who followed more closely then me knew the details. I assume I will be able to trade into them from my from ds titles. If so how far back can I go? Would I be better off leaving all my guys in white 1 rather then trade them into black 2 before trading to x, y? I have no clue how trading will work so hopefully someone can fill me in.
