  1. So im a huge fan of bootleg/obscure hardware, and two of my favorites pieces of my collection are these old 1993 Megadrive clones i bought. The first one is a Nasa New 16 bit, the clone lacks a lot of features like the headphone jack and the MegaCD port, and is incompatible with the 32x and some multitaps, but the console has a great built quality. The second one is the infamous Kw-501, which i was kinda disappointed that the built quality was very bad, but the console has most of the features the Nasa lacks. Any of you guys owns an old Megadrive clone or similar?
  2. Apparently some Wii U games are seeing prices spike already. Surprisingly enough Wii U Sports Club is one of them (HD Version of Wii Sports with a few upgrades.) Hello Kitty Kruisers is another, as is Super Luigi Bros U in the green case. Anyone know of anything else creeping up in price and why? I know Devils Third was, but had a re-print and people stopped caring. That game sounded like a cool idea (beat em up) but apperently the execution wasn't good. Too bad... Share your tales of Wii U rarities here. What do you think will be rare soon? The two disc Bayonetta comes to mind...
  3. Can anyone here help me identify this lapel badge I bought around 20+ years ago? It was bought from the Computer Exchange in London after they had visited the Atari HQ clear out sale. I was told that it was given to employees after 20 years of service but I can't find any info on this item anywhere. It has (CTO 1/10 10k DGLGE) stamped on the back... which is something to do with the percentage of gold content. It's a tiny, shiny, lovely little thing with some sort of jewel/gem in the base. Any ideas? Thank you! Oh, it came in a smart brown velvet lined little box with a tiny note that says O C TANNER (www.octannerjewelers.com) and then some inspection notes about the item. I've just edited this next bit as I have discovered it is the original box as the CTO logo on the back of the badge is the mark of O C TANNER - who made badges for years of service. So, I've kind of begun to answer my own question haven't I! Here's where I found the CTO info (www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/142265-solved-gold-tie-lapel-pin-possible-diamonds-what.html)
  4. This caught my eye this morning, just going through some fleabay ads. https://www.ebay.com/itm/333882214573?hash=item4dbcee48ad:g:VFoAAOSwJpxgIFAw But wait.. this seller has 2 of these! https://www.ebay.com/itm/334140274403?hash=item4dcc4ff6e3:g:UhQAAOSw6zlgPXud $450,000 each?! Ummm... yeah. Thoughts?
  5. Hi guys. I am a new member here, but I wanted to give the AtariAge members first dibs on this Kiosk before I list it on eBay. I have looked through the forums, and it appears the last Kiosk sold in 2014, but I don't see what price it sold for, and one in 2013 for I am assuming $750. I don't think one has popped up since then. This kiosk does not have the built in brain board. I purchased this from an older couple who got it from a K-Mart in 1986. It has been sitting in their basement ever since, and does show some signs of wear, but nothing major. Most damage as you will see in the photos is along the front control panel laminate. There is some moisture damage on the underside at the base in the rear, but you can't even see it when up against a wall. Also, it appears to be missing two of the bottom shelves, but a piece of MDF would suffice in replacement, it is pretty basic. T-molding all looks pretty decent, plexi has some scuffs but not too bad. Around the control panel there is some staining from what looks like Pepsi or something, but not too bad. I tried to clean it the best I could but with a little extra work I'm sure it could be restored further. The controls work great. In fact, it makes playing 2600 enjoyable lol. The paddles might need a shot of electronics cleaner, but they both still function fairly well. It is currently stationed in my garage, up on pallets. The featured photo shows it all decked out with merchandise (and photoshopped into a nicer looking room rather than a garage, lol) - sorry, games not included. Please click the imgur album link to see more photos. Included is the kiosk itself, the gnarly Sony Trinitron, and the 2600 console. I am in the Springfield/Dayton area in Ohio, and I assume most of you would prefer to pickup so you could see it in person first - but if I can get close to my price I might consider doing a delivery, make a weekend out of it. It would be delivered disassembled of course (assembly is like 12 screws). Here is my eBay user account if you'd like to check my feedback/whatever; http://www.ebay.com/usr/poisongoomba Link to imgur album with more photos: http://imgur.com/a/auJBu Please feel free to ask me any questions about it. I don't have a lot of room to store it, and I would love it to go to a good home where it can be preserved. Thanks! EDIT: I currently have a standing offer for $1500, the buyer wants to meet me in September. So I will put a hold on until then.
  6. More Hidden Gems for Super Nintendo including uncommon 3rd Party Controllers! Games Shown: QBert 3 The Peace Keepers Wolf Child Kendo Rage Captain Commando Firepower 2000 Shadowrun Biometal Stealth Controller Messiah Wireless Capcom Arcade Stick What are some of the more interesting controllers for the SNES?
  7. My dad recently showed me a game he picked up years ago at a yard sale. I have never seen anything like it. It is a Nintendo NES game cartridge. The game is SMART BOY Tetris. It is in a plastic box with game instructions. Appears it was a rental game. Anyway, it is obviously super rare. If anyone knows anything regarding it's worth or is interested in buying it, please contact me, as it will probably be going on Ebay soon.
  8. Still factory sealed, new and complete in the box, Vidco Copy Cart, packed with 'Dishaster.' In the early 2000s, I bought a little dead stock for sale in a used record/head shop. It was boxed common games and a couple third party controllers however, there were also 2 new-in-the-box sealed Vidco Copy Carts! In 2003, I traded one of the Copy Carts to another forum member. I hung on to this one for another 15 years Because it was the cool point of interest in my collection. Almost pushed 'List It' on this as an ebay auction. Thanks for looking and any advice or serious offers you can make. *edit* couple more photos added to show the instructions on the back.
  9. What is the worth of an intellivision computer/keyboard ? A 2600 sits on top of it.
  10. [Update - I sold this 9/2020] I have this very rare, complete OSCAR device for sale. The box is open however the device itself and some of the contents are still in their factory shrink wrap. Please see the pictures I attached 8/6/2020 in the thread below. This is an interesting device that was designed to work with a special magazine and could optically scan the programs/software in the magazine printed in barcode form. The company failed and there were only a few (or one) issue of the magazine. Take a look at the pictures I posted on the linked topic (scroll to the bottom of page1, see my Aug 6, 2020 post). Also the topic tells a lot more about the device. Message me if you would be interested in purchasing this unique bit of 8bit history. Thanks!!
  11. While playing E2M2 on Jaguar Doom, my game froze and displayed a message which said: Apparently this is an extremely rare glitch that randomly occurs when a player treks on stairs. Here's a photo I took of it (sorry for the awful quality) https://imgur.com/a/tP0YEpC And here is a page describing what's going on: https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/Stairs_create_unknown_sector_types Has anybody ever witnessed this? Apparently this has also happened in games such as Tower II and Strife. Seems to be an extremely rare glitch that is occurring. Has anyone ever run across this?
  12. Hey guys I’m new to the forum so no witch hunts just yet please,? anyway I recently got my hands on a copy of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the Atari 2600 and I would really appreciate it if any of you guys can help me o and let me know if you guys need more pictures/ info thanks a lot guys I really do appreciate it. ?
  13. As big Atari and classic gaming fans, i'm sure just about everyone here who collects has at least one Atari 2600 in our personal collections, and some games. Yesterday, I acquired a rather interesting title on eBay: "Popeye". However, this isn't the normal Parker Bros. release, this is the unlicensed "Taiwan Cooper" version. I bought in in the box for $11. When I think about it, this would be just about the rarest 2600 game currently in my collection. So, how about you guys? What's the rarest game you currently own? (Ps, Photo is from original eBay Listing, I can post additional photos once the game arrives in the mail).
  14. After holding on to these for years I am now auctioning my two rarest video game carts for the TI-99/4a. 1. Navarone "Frog Stickers" (created when Navarone bought over Romox and was still reusing there old cart cases). c. 1986 2. Romox "Princess and Frog" on ECPC edge connect programmable cartridge with paperwork. c. 1984/84 Both are tested and are currently up for auction ebay. with no reserve.. hoping these both make it into someones collection who can enjoy them.. thanks http://tinyurl.com/kk52c5g
  15. Hi, I'm new here. I opened a steamer trunk in the garage last week, and lo and behold, there was my Atari console in near mint condition box (serial number 82184354), along with cartridges in their boxes, cartridge storage container, brochures/catalogs, and silver jacket, which haven't seen the light of day in 30 years. Not all of the cartridges were in the trunk, so I know there's another cache of them on the property somewhere. Including, crossing fingers, Lochjaw w/box. I have a faint memory of buying it on sale from a toy store in the late 80's. And of playing it, of the diver getting stuck to the walls. A colossal search is currently underway. Could be a revisionist memory. Or maybe I have Shark Attack (bummer if so). Stay tuned!
  16. I recently acquired an Atari video music on Ebay fairly cheap and working ? but it happens to be missing one of its side wood panels . Considering its rarity is there way to get a replacement peice for it? Also another question I noticed theres different fonts on various pictures of the Avm is there different versions of it? I own the one of the top with "model c240" But most people I seen with it have the bottom version is there any differences besides minimal design change? Thank you- kiko
  17. I just recently got an atari video music from ebay for a fairly cheap price . It seems to be in good shape but however it is missing a peice of the wood side panel . Is there anywhere to get a replacement for that peice considering the rarity of the avm? Another question I noticed theres models that contain different text on the front panel . Is there different versions of the avm? Or was this slight change in design ? I got the model in the top picture Thank you
  18. Ladies and gentleman of the retro computing world... this VIC-20 makes absolutely no sense. It seems to be a bit of a Frankenstein's monster, it has the wrong badge and keyboard type for the model number board (1001006 REV 3), it has a PET style keyboard with mustard function keys, with a silver (not rainbow) VIC-20 badge while the serial number sticker is for a VIC-1001. Clearly the keyboard has been replaced at some point, what really confuses me though are two of the chips on the board, they are a dark grey color with a plaque for the chip type and number, but here's the kicker the pins are gold. Could this have anything to do with the serial number, which to date is the lowest I've seen (102640). Here's a link to a VIC-20 serial number registry (currently mine is at the top) https://cbmvic.net/registry/all, you'll get more detailed info there. Here's some pictures for you to mull over, any help or info at all would be appreciated. It was owned by a fairly prominent journalist (I will NOT tell you his name), so it may have been a 'review computer' sent to him by Commodore, but there would likely be something in or on the case/board saying that. Also I have no means of powering it on yet, seeing as I don't have an a/c adapter that fit's nor do I have the proper video cables. Help, please
  19. I recently came across this Color Bar Generator cart not knowing what it was. I actually picked it up with a few games while buying an Atari off of Craigslist. After looking this cart up on AtariAge it looks like it is actually pretty rare. I am looking to see if anyone has any info on what this is and if it is actually worth anything. I've added some pictures.
  20. Hello. So I bought these cartridges off of a guy on Ebay, who had bought it from Youtube Channel bgP (Who is the person who recorded the clip below). They are for a Canceled Atari Jaguar Fighting Game called "Thea Realm Fighters". It was a 1v1 Fighter which used digitized actors. Some of the Actors include Mortal Kombat Veterans such as Daniel Pesina (Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub Zero etc.) and Ho Sung Zak (Liu Kang). I haven't been able to play them Yet because I don't own a working Jaguar, but I hope to get one and try these out. I have a Test Cartridge, and Alpha Cartridge and a Beta Cartridge. The game was about 95% complete until the project was canceled when Atari ceased supporting the Jaguar. Here are some gameplay clips. Let me know if you have any concerns or comments. I'd also appreciate it if someone could help me with acquiring a working Jaguar with two controllers (Also Kasumi Ninja, Ultra Vortek and Atari Karts). Thanks. P.S. NOT FOR SALE
  21. Hello fellow Atariage fans & Atari Jaguar fans, Haven't been on in awhile as real life problems have interfered. Hard times have now hit me like a pile of bricks, hate to let it go but I've made some terrible life mistakes, unfortunately, and I must sell my Atari Jaguar Battlesphere cartridge with custom high quality 3M plastics end label. Its CIB, in very good condition just listed it on ebay. Please take a look and spread the word to anyone that might be looking for an nice "authentic" copy, not a reproduction or any of that jazz. Haz gold edge connector contacts and all as specified by 4Play, lol haha! I set the start price going by the last real Battlesphere cart sold on ebay last month(Feb 04, '19). Willing to ship worldwide. http://ebay.us/HPmvBX?cmpnId=5338273189 Thanks for checking out my sales thread, any suggestions please let me know. Hopefully I can rejoin active posting here soon, as there is so much going on, especially in the Jaguar Forum, i am looking forward to it.
  22. Hello again fellow Atariage fans & Atari Jaguar fans, After much deliberation, regret, lamentation and thought, I have decided to put up my backup unused Atari Jaguar Battlesphere cartridge, for sale on the chopping block of ebay. It was a hard decision and I really really didn't want to, but times are still tough for me, as I continue to flounder without progress in my economic un-viability. So sad as I know I'll never get to play the game again, certainly not with a pristine unused, undamaged, flawless cartridge such as the one I have listed up on ebay right now. Well, my loss is another Jaguar fans gain, and I am happy someone else will get the chance to own this game. I put the starting price a little higher than my last Battlesphere auction last month as its in better condition and unused (NIB) for decades. I have now reaped the unfortunate cold bitter harvest of my financial negligence as the reaper of desperation calls my name, money is needed like water and air to survive. (I'm trying to make this post interesting and poetic for my readers and longtime friends here that may see this, although everything I say is true) Hopefully, this is the wake up call i needed for me to take my financial responsibility for my life's obligations to myself much more seriously and with greater effort. Besides this is a retro gaming community of the oldest kind - Atari and now that i've passed middle age, I am thinking about dying, and my will and what's to become of my Atari collection - should I hold onto everything and play my Ataris up until the day i die? or should i will everything to friends and family and not worry about it so it doesn't get dumped in the garbage by someone after I'm gone or should i sell everything now and get it to others who would truly enjoy this Atari video game history? Anyways just my thoughts on this, I been talking to ya'll for many years and feel I can open up to you, so I hope you all don't think I'm too weird or lost. This cartridge and package is CIB/NIB (unused), in Excellent working condition just listed it on ebay. Please take a look and spread the word to anyone that might be looking for a pristine "authentic" copy, not a reproduction or any of that jazz. Haz goldz edge connector contactz and all as specified by 4Play, lol haha! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-Jaguar-Battlesphere-CIB-NIB-Authentic-Original-by-4Play-Never-used/183771011187 Thanks to everyone for checking out my sales thread, see any suggestions please let me know. Again, Hopefully I can rejoin active posting here soon, as there is really so much going on, especially in the Jaguar Forum, i am looking forward to it and talking with my friends here on the regular again - we always come back to Atari!
  23. From the album: Games and Their Stories

Not much story to this one, but this is easily my rarest game that I own. I got this from a Gamecube lot that my friend sold me. It came with a bunch of other uncommon/rare games, but this one definitely caught my eye.
  24. Hey guys, I have a rare copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Atari 2600 up for auction. Check it out. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/706-53473-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid&icep_item=352613704903&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229529&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111&fbclid=IwAR30jZDhubK1JVPzzZMj7DZknlU3EoEgajcjQLCNlK85she5KBqu4hAscdo
