+Random Terrain Posted March 7, 2007 Share Posted March 7, 2007 got the sprites working good, question is how do check for collision on the virtual sprites since you can use the collision statement on them (the best way Ifigured is to have it check the position of y and x of the two) I think that is pretty much what batari said here: http://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-me....html#collision Note that in the multisprite kernel, you can define objects player2 through player5. However, these are not valid arguments in the collision statement because the Atari 2600 cannot actually display 5 completely independent player objects. Player2-5 are virtual sprites, drawn by repositioning player1 several times during the visible screen. Therefore, a collision with player1 in the multisprite kernel means that you have hit one or more virtual players, and you must do further checks, for example, the y-positions, to determine which one.
