chadtower
A thread for mentioning things people would like to bring but is big enough to need expressed interest first. I have a couple of 2600 era console holders that are just hanging around. I'd let them go pretty easily. Any interest? I also have a number of NES and new connectors and a few TI99s I need to part with. Let me know if anyone would want to trade for them. chadtower
Forgot to mention, I also have a number of N64s.
kisrael
Err, console holder? (Probably not interested, but not sure what it is...)
christianscott27
any non-standard N64s?
chadtower
The Atari 2600 is a game console, yes? The N64s are all the standard color. I can bring them with or without expansion packs... if you're asking did I mod them in any way, no not yet but it probably wouldn't be hard to do by then. christianscott27
I've thought that it might be nice to someday get the colored N64s, thats what I meant by non-standard but since you mentioned it what sort of mods do people do to N64s? chadtower
The only one I've ever looked into would be an RGB output mod. I'm sure there are a few others. I could easily see someone adding illumination to one of the translucent units. Neither mod would be very hard.
chadtower
I need at PS2 mem card or two. Anyone have any to bring for trade/sale?
phaxda
As I mentioned in another thread, I have a couple of compact Macs that I am looking to unload--a Classic and SE. I also have a broken 7800 and tons of 5200 extras--really too much to list. For the 2600 I just have box upon box of common stuff and some CIB remote control controllers that I can't use in my frequency-saturated apartment. I also have a Mattel Aquarius that is about THIS CLOSE to going in the dumpster, so if someone wants it let me know. It's all yours. I'll try to do some organization and take pictures if anyone is interested. Ask about other stuff you may need as well. I have A LOT of crap. My game room, er, I mean my office, is a mess. Oh, I should add what I am interested in: 2600 uncommons, 5200 conversion carts, and I am in the market for a Vectrex multi/flash cart. Probably just buy that one, but in case anyone is looking to unload one I will have cash on me. i am also looking for something very specific: sears pic label carts that have different titles than their atari counterparts (even if they are the identical game) or as atari carts are available only as text label (i.e., flag capture). i like the pictures. let me know if you have any. i already have sub commander and arcade pinball. chadtower
I'd be interested in that 7800 if you'll let it go according to its broken state.
phaxda
i'll bring the 7800, then! you can just have it--if i needed a console holder i'd take one, but i hate those things.
chadtower
Heh, cool. Thanks. The 7800 and 5200 are good for discrete parts for other things (arcade boards, mostly). I'll obviously eventually try to fix it, but if I can't, it will at least be an organ donor.
phaxda
Cleaning out more today and I seem to have several 5200 RF boxes for the 4-ports and 2 extra 5200 power supplies. Let me know if you need either of these things. I also discovered that my Genesis is broken--if you have one and would be willing to let it go, let me know. chadtower
I could totally use the 5200 pieces... the Genny, not so much, but I probably have a spare bare console you can have. You only need the console, yes? Which model?
Lauren Tyler
I've got a large collection of NES and Atari 2600 games, so I can't list all of them, but if there's a certain one you're looking for, PM me and we'll talk. Right now I'm looking for Flying Dragon for the NES, as well as Rival Schools for the PS One.
Keir
I have a box of non-working carts, controllers and systems that I'll bring if anyone wants to take some of it (free, of course). If not, I'm just going to throw it away because I need the space. I also have a crapload of Commodore stuff I'd like to get rid of. Unfortunately, it's mostly non-cartridge stuff (disks, cassettes, books, hardware, i.e. the stuff no one wants). I'm not going to bring any of it unless someone asks me too. I've been out of the collecting loop for a while but now that I'm starting to get that bug again my main interest is VIC-20 carts, so if you have any please bring them! I do already have a sizable collection though, so you may want to check with me first. Chad, I sold my TI to Mark so I may be interested in one. Not sure though, it kind of depends on how much I can get rid of at the meet.
chadtower
I'll take the broken stuff off your hands and give you a TI for them at the same time... I can sit them next to the last bunch of broken consoles you gave me. So far I've only poked through one of them but didn't fix it, just walked around the board some. Lauren Tyler
So I take it nobody has Rival Schools?
chadtower
Super. Thanks. I'm having trouble finding a video cord. I have two TI99s with power supplies sitting in front of me but I can't find a video cord to test them. You probably won't see this before I leave but just in case I'll check. You're welcome to have either or both of them as they are (untested with power supplies but no video cables), let me know.

There is a guy on eBay who sells modern ones that allow you to use RCA plugs: http://stores.ebay.com/Vintage-Computer-Ca...2QQftidZ2QQtZkm Cheap ($7.99 + $3.00 S/H) and work VERY well! Hope this helps, Trem

If you have a gamebit you can take out the cartridge bay and grind out the tabs to play imports.
