+Random Terrain
In case you missed it, check out this thread by Mindfield in another forum: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=102671 It's a three part video at YouTube from the early 1980s showing the making of Atlantis, inside IMAGIC, game clips, commercial clips, and so on. Seems like a good thing to watch to get in the mood for making your own games with batari Basic. +Random Terrain
This isn't Atari 2600 related, but it does show a guy creating animations on a computer in 1985 which is similar to what we will be able to do using a sprite editor which might be built into future versions of bB IDEs: http://www.archive.org/details/Computer1985_6 There are MPEG and Quicktime versions. There are other interesting things on the show including David Crane playing Ghostbusters.

The Kaboom ad was pretty cheesy - at least the game play rocked
