ATARIPITBULL
I have a chance to buy a full size frogger machine for about $100, but it does not work, when its turned on, the screen goes all crazy, sounds like the board is bad, but that can be replaced, but if I do buy this game, shipping it to my house will cost an extra $200, so now were up to $300 for a non working frogger, do you guys think this is too much to pay. atarimastermarty
It all depends in my opinion what the condidyion of the box is. To be honest it depends on what youre willing to spend. If it's all in mint it's probably worth it.
Cassidy Nolen
You can get a working Frogger for a little more. If you can find a working board, for say 50 bucks, then you are in good shape. If you cant, you may be spending a good bit more to get yours fixed. I know that is not helpful, but just know there were thousands of them made. I personally will only pay shipping on a VERY special piece (Pong, Computer Space, Lunar Lander, etc). Just my .25. Cassidy BTW, I sold one about a year ago for 300 that was in great shape. I think its a fair price if its in good shape. Since its being shipped to you, you run the risk of it being damaged in shipping so make sure you get insurance. The problem could be a bad power supply or the board. Either problem should be fairly easy to fix or get a replacement for.
AlanD
Well let you know if you decide on it. I have 2-3 tested Frogger boards here you can drop right in. I'm sure we can work something out. Doubt I have an original power supply (what did it use?) but I have tons of switching ones I have pulled from machines. AlanD For anyone else interested in some boards, I have a ton of Atari vector boards that I do not have the time to test. I know I have several Tempests, a Major Havoc, Gravitar, Space Duel, Lunar Lander, Asteroids, etc etc - No Quantums however. They are in various stages of completeness. If anyone is interested, feel free to email me and I can then call you voice and discuss a trade/sale. Email is a pain for a technical trade IMO.
