mos6507
Sorry, can not approve unless you are able to make the 1200XL keyboard work as a PC keyboard.
Pengwin
That is really cool. i particularly like the 1050 DVD burner, although, couldn't you have used the original switch as a power switch for it, or at least left it in place for aesthetics? Noelio
Hehe the 1200 keyboard would have been pretty impossible. Plus it needs to function as a PC. As for the power button, I could do that indeed but it was one part laziness and one part laziness hehehe.

Tempest
Ever thought about taking orders? Personally I'd like a PC in an Atari 800, but that may be pretty much impossible due to the odd case size. Tempest
Noelio
Ever thought about taking orders? Personally I'd like a PC in an Atari 800, but that may be pretty much impossible due to the odd case size. Tempest Take a look at this new board coming out. That should allow you to build a pc into even a sinclair! So the 600 / 800 definitely has hope. Save your broken machines!!! I wouldn't take orders on it as its a pretty rough job, I used hand tools only to cut (wire snippers!) so the edges are rough. Then again, the trim plates etc do wonders but then its all about there not being enough time. Its not as hard as it looks either, just don't do it to a perfectly good working Atari! I picked up a couple fried 1200's with the only good part remaining - the case. Actually bought a broken 800 (non xl) originally to do this but the 800 worked perfect! And an 800 has already been done, minus the keyboard. See below link: http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/atari800/ I agree with MOS, that the 1200 keyboard would have been nice, but it would require hard wiring each key and you would still have very little windows functionality. I used an arcade to keyboard interface on my mame machine and it only has the ability to employ 28 buttons. Cheap usb keyboard it was!
