Urchlay Posted April 28, 2007 Share Posted April 28, 2007 Uhhh... Generally speaking, "xex" and "bin" are both Atari binary load files, just different names for the same thing... Sometime a "bin" is actually a cartridge (ROM) image. Take a look at the file in a hex editor or something, if the first two bytes are $FF $FF, it's a binary load file. Also, if the file size in bytes is an exact multiple of 8K (8192, 16384), that's a pretty good indicator that it's a cartridge. If it's anything else, odds are it's a binary load file. If your "bin" file turns out to be a binary load file, rename it to "xex" and mission accomplished Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So, it would be a very involved process getting it to work as a RAM based program, and would also likely need a 192K or better machine to run it.
