Prototype Ngage unit

Obtained from an Activision employee while working on Tony Hawk for the Ngage. You can see the back cover in the picture is an army green and the unit is marked proto B 5.3

 

 

Inside the unit was this card.

 

 

I was told this phone has a different operating system when I purchased it but I do not have a retail unit to compare it to and the battery has since gone dead.

i'm probably the only person here who thinks a proto n-gage is sweet. I loved my N-gage, that is until i left it out in the rain. What does the rest of it look like, QD version or original?

This is an original style. It came from Ken Love while he at Activision. He said they used it to test Tony Hawk prior to the release of the Ngage.

I can appreciate this prototype N-Gage as well. I've got

a lot of love for the N-Gage. Even got an N-Gage Kiosk

for my room. Would be interesting to learn more about

the operating differences between it, and the retail one.

I have quite a few proto/promo games for the n-gage but never seen a proto console.

Nice. I saw one like this but i cannot remember where...
