opeygon
I've been thinking about buying a flashback 2 so I can use the joysticks with my regular console. Couple questions first. I'm sorry if these have been asked before. I searched the subforum but wasn't satisfied with the answers I got. I have to get up for work at 330 so I'm running out of time to search around. Anyway here goes... 1. Can I use the joysticks from the fb2 with my cx 2600? I thought you could, but I just read somewhere that I may have trouble doing this. Any validity to that? 2. Is it worth it, or do the fb 2 joysticks break easily too? I want these joysticks not only because they look so cool, but because I'm sick of breaking those new but crappy third party sticks and I'm hoping they are made a bit more sturdy. 3. While I was checking out some fb 2's I saw that asteroids arcade version was included. Am I correct in assuming that this is the vector based game? Hope so cause that would only sweeten the deal! Thanks in advance to anyone who answers. Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/107435-sorry-in-advance-for-the-stupid-questions/ Share on other sites
Feralstorm
1. Yup, they work, though the plug might fit a little tight. 2. there's been varying reports on the sturdyness of the FB2 sticks. If you're the type who breaks a lot of controllers, there's a reasonable chance the FB2 sticks won't last a long time either. 3. the 'Arcade' Asteroids is a hack of the graphics of the 2600 Asteroids game, not a 'true' vector game like the Arcade. Basically it's the same as the VCS/2600 Asteroids, except the blocky shapes are hollow instead of filled in. I have heard stories of the stick breaking off of the threaded part. 3...The Asteroids Arcade game is a hacked version of the original 2600 game, but the sprites are "hollowed out" to look more like vector graphics.
