bluemax2007
Hello, I've cartridge XE super card with gato. I want to change the game Gato with new game (ex summer games) of 128Ko on new eprom 27C010. I connect pin 1 with 32/31/30 and pin2 with r2 - I cut connecting and connect to point (view Atari chile ). But nothing ??? Where are you programming the new game on 27C010 (=27C1001) : at the beginning or the end of 27C1001 ? Or a solution ? Thanks.

Wrathchild
I've tried something similar with a Fight Night cart, but the pins for the 28 pin socket didn't match a 28->32 pin PLCC adaptor that I got from Ebay. The chips used on most of the XE carts were 23C family rather than 27C and so the pinouts are wildly different. Adapting a board is possible but a bit messy, Nir Dary has done this. I've not seen a Gato cart - does that have a 28 or 32 pin socket? Regards, Mark
bluemax2007
Normal card. 28 pins but web site http://www.retrogames.cl/xecarts.html : connect pin 1-32/31/30 2 connect r2 .... Edited June 6, 2007 by bluemax2007
+Mitch
Normal card. 28 pins but web site http://www.retrogames.cl/xecarts.html : connect pin 1-32/31/30 2 connect r2 .... Are you using a 27C100 or 27C010? I think those instructions are for a 27C100. Mitch
bluemax2007
27C010 = 27C1001 ? I 'm using 27C010 - datasheet's idem.
+Mitch
27C010 = 27C1001 ? I 'm using 27C010 - datasheet's idem. OK, that's a different chip. There are two pins that are swapped between the 27C100 and the 27C010/27C1001. Check the datasheets for the two chips and you should be able to figure out how to adapt your circuit.
