avocado
Could someone post the specs for the power adapters for the Atari 800 and the 810 Disk Drive? I recently acquired these via ebay, and they were badly damaged in shipping. If I don't end up sending them back, I will attempt to restore them. First step, though, I need to power them up, and I can't tell which adapter goes to which unit! The plugs are identical. Any help would be awesome. Thanks! Nukey Shay
AFAIK, those bricks are interchangable. I've got 1 @ 11.5v DC and 2 @ 9v AC stated as the output (800 + 2 1050 drives), and it doesn't matter which I use for either.
avocado
cool. both of the ones I have are 9 VAC, but one is 31 VA and one is 15.3 VA output. I'll give it a shot right now.
mimo
use the higher output for the 810, the 800 will run on 1 amp no probs, but the 810 needs more power *in a Tim Allen Tool Time sort of voice*

LYNXGUY
avocado, did you get the Atari 800 and 810 floppy drive working yet ??
avocado
Not quite yet, unfortunately. (this sat in the attic for a while since my last post) See my thread about replacement peripheral port..My 800 had a bent pin, and when i started bending it back into position, it snapped off. I'm trying to track down a replacement port, so I can finally fire up the drive. Hopefully the DOS disk is in the small pile of floppies that came with the computer...
