Best Dreamcast video output?

What is the highest quality video output a Dreamcast can manage without any modifications? I am currently using composite, but wouldn't mind stepping it up a bit.

You should try an S-Video cable - that's what I use most of the time, and it's pretty sharp. When I want real sharp pictures for the DC, I use the RGB output on a DC to computer monitor AV box that plugs into DC. I use my 18" computer monitor for my computer, that makes it crystal clear.

I use a monitor adapter myself. The picture is sharp on those games that support it (mostly, anyway). Fortunately the box I have also has A/V connectors on it for the games that don't support the PC monitor.

For everyday use, though, the S-Video is sharp and clear. I've become quite fond of S-Video as of late. I fully plan on eventually getting all of my old systems modded to incorporate it.

480p using the VGA adapter is the best way.
