:?: Atari 5200 in Australia?

Nope. The 5200 was never released outside the US. Later 5200's (2 ports) have room the mother board to accomidate PAL signals, but I don't think any protoype PAL units were ever built. However i've been told that they did indeed test 5200 games for the PAL standard so I suppose they would actually work on a PAL TV (like normal 400 carts). I have some prototypes labeled PAL (Star Raiders and Missile Command), but I haven't seen any differences in them, nor do I think there are any. I've gotta dump them to make sure though.

I DONT THINK SO AS I RECENTLY PAID QUITE A LOT FOR THE 2 PORT UNIT WICH ACTUALLY HAS A BRAND NEW MOTHERBOARD IN IT. THE FOR PORT I'VE HAD FOR YEARS. I ALSO HAVE ONE OF THE EARLY 7800 WITH THE EXPANSION INTERFACE AND THE LABLE STATING 7800 PROSYSTEM ALSO FROM USA.
