homerwannabee
Today I picked up an Odyssey 2 system in the box. I noticed that it said Phillips instead of Magnavox. And the instuction manual was totally in French and the warrenty card was in French and English with store locations in listed in Canada. There were some rare games included as well. Like Conquest of the Word and The Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt, and Smithereens. All of which were in there boxes, so that was cool I got it for $30 and probably would not of done it had it not come with the rarer games. I was wondering about the Canadian system though. Is this rarer or is it pretty common.
Seob
The Philips brand is from the Netherlands and was the manufacture of the odyssey2 also know as videopac in europe. Does the console have odyssey2 brands or the videopac brand? In europe the Philips with videopac brand is very common. There's a forum online at www.videopac.nl/forum/ if you want more information. homerwannabee
Ok, since no one seems to know about this I decided to put up some pictures to clear things up a little bit. As you can see it is in both French and in English. I also found an english system manual in one of the games. So it looks like for some reason they made this box for French Speakers and English speakers. As you can see this is not Videopac.
homerwannabee
Ok, since no one knows if this is rare or not. I have a question for long time and hard core Odyssey 2 collectors. Have you even heard of this type of Phillips Odyssey 2 system before. Could it be I have a one of a kind Odyssey 2 system.
