RickHarrisMaine
I might be trading someone for a Goldstar 3DO..... It looks like it may be more of an interesting curiosity than anything, but I'd still like to know what are the "must-play" games for this system, if there are any? I think the idea of the Vivid porn games are hysterical, but I bet they're not terribly "fun"!
legeek
I would get Road Rash for sure. It's dated but I liked Need for Speed. Return Fire is fun multiplayer. Escape from Monster Manor is a decent Wolfenstein 3D clone. Zagnost The Peoples' Party is a fun TV board game. Cheers, Ben

+Random Terrain
One of the best games on the 3DO is Star Control II. You can download the 3DO version of the game and play it on your computer for free: http://sc2.sourceforge.net/downloads.php I loved Shanghai: Triple-Threat. One of the games on there reminds me of the Connect 2 free online game that I have on my web site. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Slayer was cool because of the random dungeon generator. Talk about randomness and replayability. The Horde was fun for a while. Theme Park is worth owning. It was my first amusement park game. Need for Speed was pretty amazing-looking at the time. I kind of liked Quarantine back then, but it's hard to go back to now since it's so blocky compared to the games of today. It's like a futuristic Crazy Taxi with guns. I had a sampler with a Captain Quazar demo on it. The little I got to play of it made it seem like the game might be worth owning. If you like platform games, even a little, then you must have Gex. ultramoo
3DO was my first "next-gen" console after I had my Genesis. I still think that in terms of refinement it was better than the Playstation but it just couldn't compete with its cruddy software list. I have a number of games and the ones I particularly enjoyed were: 1. Shockwave 2. Shockwave 2 3. Immercenary 4. Wing Commander III 5. Gex 6. Theme Park 7. Panzer General (very buggy game though) Probably more but I don't have them out so I can't remember what I have. Just a warning, worst game I have ever played to this day is Rise of the Robots for the 3DO, do not buy it unless it's just for collecting sake! There is virtually no gameplay, just like the porns, it's all about FMV because that was cool back then. Oh, and Dragon's Lair, that one sucked major balls too. There was also a game called Battlesport that was pretty fun and of course back then I loved that there was a code that would make the announcer say "welcome to one fucking great game!", probably the first f-word in gaming history. Sad thing is that I had removed all my games from their cases and must have slipped them in with some CDR's I had and I accidently threw them all away! Luckily I had made copies of them all (I recommend you do to) but it's not the same without the real thing to me. Prodos8
I always liked Return Fire, especially if you have someone to play against. Crash 'n' Burn was pretty good too, I think mine came with it new.
