I think there is a thread asking "If you were a game coder, what game would you remake". If you are interested in Adventure/RPG games from the Atari Years, and want to port something to the PC, I might have something for you. For the last several years, I have been developing a 3D adventure/RPG maker on the PC and some of the sample games were originally all text games that I had on the Atari 8-bit and was written in Basic XE. I no long have the disks, been lost for years. I also have a text adventure game system that was ported over to Qbasic under MS-DOS, that was ported from the Atari 13 years ago.
