What demo/game is this?

I remember seeing a demo/video of a woman crying or something. Then she pulls out a gun. I think she was in a kitchen or something like that. What game is that from? Is it still in development? I forgot all about it and then remembered it last nigh fo some reason when I put in CoD4 into the PS3

I'm afraid you won't find much news on it. That was a tech demo for an upcoming game from the people who made Indigo Prophecy (called Fahrenhiet in Europe). A good game, by the way; shame about the screenplay writer suffering blunt force head trauma halfway into development, though.

 

Anyway, I believe the new game is going to be called "Dark Rain" or something like that.

That's the name of it. Where did you get the info on the screenwriter? I didn't find anything on that. Thanks for helping me with that info though

I was making a joke referring to Indigo Prophecy's story taking a sudden turn toward ridiculous near the end.

 

But anyway, the company's called Quantic Dream. They have a website:

That clip is frequently referenced as a disturbing example of the "Uncanny Valley," the uncomfortable zone between cartoon graphics and real-life people, in which characters look real, but somehow not quite right, like in the Final Fantasy movie or The Polar Express. That's probably the single biggest deterrent keeping me away from Beowulf the movie.
