Room 34 Posted August 25, 2002 Share Posted August 25, 2002 Well, I just went to my first arcade auction today in Atlanta. It was put on by Super Auctions, and overall I thought it was a pretty good experience. I have never been to any kind of a live auction before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I found that the equipment was generally easy to inspect, the people were friendly, and it was quite easy to bid, handle the payment transaction, and load up my equipment, even though the bidding on other nearby machines was still going on at the time. Overall a very good experience! I think I will go again next time they are here. I probably won't have any money to bid on anything else, but it was just fun to see what was there. Incidentally, I ended up scoring just what I had come for -- a cocktail table Asteroids machine in excellent working condition. But I rambled all about that in another post on this topic...
