Portal's fun!

I have Orange Box also but I got it on 360.

Yes, Portal is damn fun. Great value in this deal. I heard the PS3 version is a little flaky but it should still be a lot of fun.

I got stuck a few times but so far made it to the second to the last level. I've given up for now. (Too lazy to look at gamefaqs ATM)

The level load times are pretty bad, especially when I'm used to games like Ratchet & Clank. I've read that there's frame rate issues on some of the other games in TOB, and that they don't make sense as they sometimes occur when nothing's going on. I suspect EA doesn't yet comprehend programming the PS3.

Reviews have basically said that despite the issues the game's still fun on the PS3, but that if you also have a 360 or PC you're better off getting those versions instead.

I saw a video comparing the 360 -vs- PS3. I wonder what the hold up for the load times is? It very well could be EA.

As for the game, IMO it should have won game of the year. My only complaint was that it was too short. The game had great puzzles, dialog, and tech (the portal gun). Loved every minute of it. No "lame" puzzles to speak of (well, maybe 1) which is usually why I don't like puzzle type games.

I loved Portal and posted on it a while back.

The game was stunningly great in many ways and totally unexpected. Some of the best dialog ever.

(and after that, the very amusing and poignant end credits and music!)

Portal might just have the best ending of all time. It just came out of nowhere and floored me, hell I wasn't even expecting any sort of ending to Portal. :D
