All the detail information you need will be public on 24th January 2008 at the PDRoms webboard, in particular here: http://www.pdroms.de/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=405

Currently there are already two prizes to win.

All I can say for now… “4 colors are enough!” – Spread the word and join the challenge!

Kojote / PDRoms

P.S.: The amount of prizes might raise during the compo time! Contributions are welcome.

Has PDRoms every run a coding competition before? Can you post links to those compos, if possible?

And with the rules as stated, and the short deadline (early March), you are probably only going to get bB games, so you might want to post there when the competition begins.

this is actually the eight coding competitions so far, with the second time for atari 2600 support. at least the past 5 coding compos had a thread in my board at http://www.pdroms.de/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=57

i wrote albert when i first time added a2600 to the list of allowed system, but did not got any support for whatever reason, which ended in no a2600 entries, which was quite a pitty.

in case you are worried, everyone who took part in my compos recieved the prize so far ;) you may ask ppl from gba/nds/gp32/gp2x scene on that :) the only desaster we had with prizes was 2 years ago, when one of the sponsors got bankrupt and could not deliver the promised tshirts to each contestant. the other prizes were paid from my pocket.

pdroms also supports the a2600 scene whereever possible, but i don't have support from anyone directly involved in that scene. it's hard to keep track of over 20 systems on my own, specially with the amount of nds/psp and gp2x releases these days.

hope that information helps ;)

regards

koj
