phonedork
As you can see in the title, I have modded my Atari 5200 to use both S-video and AV with the 8bit domain circuitry. I already knew that my VCS adapter would not work after this, but is there a way to get both working? Or does having a AV mod just shut down the option of using the VCS adapter. I looked all through these forums and I did not see anything on this. Thank you

Charlie_
You can still use the RF hookup to play the VCS adapter. Both can be hooked up at once, just tune to channel 3 when you pop the adapter in.

Thanks You could AV mod the 2600 adapter, but then you'd have two sets of cords to fiddle with. I personally just use an AV modded 2600 for those games. I just purchased an Atari 7800 and I am going to mod it. Plus it plays 2600 games.

I'd like to buy one, but I'm not sure the place is legit, based on what you're saying.

I like it better than the 7800 because there is no soldering and you can easily move it from one 5200 to another if your 5200 dies. If you can solder a few leads, with real easy to follow instructions get the Longhorn Engineer mod, it comes with s-video socket as well, unlike the 8bit domain one that needs an adapter to use a standard s-video cable

The 7800 controllers can fit into the 2600 ports on the vcs adapter on the 5200. The 7800 motherboard does not fit in that VCS T-adapter for the 5200. I doubt he made a completely new mother board for the 7800 to fit in that VCS adapter. As I recall looking at the forum.....nobody has received one. As a matter of fact everybody that post on there was pissed. If you have one then record it working and post on youtube. You could be the 8bit -domain guy for all I know. phonedork
The AV signal is good on my highdef flat screen. But when I use S-video I have these scanlines that run up an down in between solid colors. Is there something wrong with my s-video mod or is it because of my flatscreen? I do set it to 4:3 so its not on flatscreen but full screen.
