aftermac Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 KC Munchkin: 187 Bowling: 135 One of my two O2's works. I'm suspicious of the power supply of the non-working unit. The brick appears to be glued back together and there is electrical tape on the cord. I would use the brick from the working one, however they have 2 different connectors. The non-working one is the style with the built-in controllers. The working one has removable controllers, but the controllers for this one don't always make the best contact... I'll need to take them apart or look up some information to see if I can get them working better. I would test the controllers from the other O2, but... BTW: Happy birthday king! aftermac Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) KC Munchkin: 247 Well, I've worked out my controller issues... KC Munchkin works as a nice game to test controller responsiveness. What I decided to do was use the cables from the two removable O2 controllers and make 2600-O2 adapters with a couple male DB-9 connectors I picked up from Radio Shack. Then I took my two non-removable controllers from my non-working O2 and the cables from two non-working (Gemstick) 2600 controllers I had laying around and convert these O2 controllers into 2600 controllers. This way I can use my O2 and 2600 controllers on either my O2 or 2600. Make sense? On the surface, it may seem like I converted my O2 controllers into 2600 controllers, then made a 2600-O2 adapter so I could use them on my O2, but it will make controller replacement in the future much easier. The only problem is that my Genesis controller only goes up and down on the O2, but works fine on my 2600... I'll have to figure that one out. Other 2600 controllers work fine. EDIT: I just did some research. There is a voltage issue using Genesis controllers on the O2. It is possible, but I'm not going to worry about it right now. That's just the high score for that game. So far there have only been scores submitted for those games... of course, King and I have been the only ones to submit a score. Still, it's a better version as far as scoring points goes. Prioritize your shots on Attack of the Time Lord! The greem bombs are the most dangerous and should always be shot if possible - that's even more important than shooting the saucers.
