Jetboot Jack
I was wondering if anyone is using BLL or other (if any others exist)download tool for Lynx coding? If so are you limited to the RAM of the Lynx in one dump - or can you send data down in sections into RAM areas? What is the preferred method of developing something larger than RAM sized - i.e. to make a cart... Or do you use an emulatior and create cart images? sTeVE
CPUWIZ
You could theoratically cannibalize a Lynx EPROM cartridge (unless it's socketed - then you don't have to) and attach a ROM emulator hooked up via parallel port. Or, if you want to spend more money, a USB version. Either way you would be able to use it's software to immediately emulate a binary inside the Lynx. What you use to develop the binary is up to you. Of course this is just my opinion, I could be wrong. I haven't tried this method on a Lynx (yet).
+karri
There is a much easier way to download stuff to a real Lynx. I have used SRAM-carts that can hold 256k images in the past. Currently there is flash-carts available for active developers. But you can also develop cart images and run them in Handy without a need for a real Lynx. -- karri PS. Have a look at the 1024-byte minigame competition. There is my LYNX-game written in BLL. I sent the source to the competition together with the binary. Perhaps they both become visible on this site.
