EmOneGarand
The screen is probly alot better then Nomads plus the size is very good thing.. I wonder how hard a cart mod would be..

nathanallan
I think it is, theyboth have 20 games. Someone has to get one to be sure, and let us know. I got the PlayPal labeled Coleco, very happy with it.
Wickeycolumbus
it is not the same thing as the playpal/coleco handheld, this is a portable genesis. 20 games: # Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle # Alien Storm # Altered Beast # Arrow Flash # Columns III # Crack Down # Decap Attack # Dr. Robotnik´s Mean Bean Machine # Ecco # Ecco Jr. # E-SWAT: Cyber Police City Under Siege # Flick # Gain Ground # Golden Axe # Jewel Master # Kid Chameleon # Ristar # Sonic and Knuckles # Shadow Dancer – The Secret of Shinobi # The Revenge of Shinobi

I was wondering the same thing myself. I plan on buying 2 so i can try to mod one or them. I think that it should be possible, it is most likely a genesis on a chip. Does anyone know if play asia is a reliable source?
Gregory DG
Be nice to mod it to support SD cards.
SRGilbert
It's almost like a sequel to the Coleco one, and like the Coleco it looks like it has a couple of great games along with a bunch of "huh?" games.
onmode-ky
This is . . . a bit odd. I posted about this very product, even the very same product page at Play-Asia.com, several weeks ago in the Coleco portable SMS/GG thread, in this post, but no one responded at all. I figured that the community simply wasn't as interested in the Genesis/Mega Drive as it was in the Master System. Either that, or my posts are just major turn-offs. . . . Anyway, I've bought from Play-Asia.com several times. Some import GameCube and GBA games, books, toys, CDs. One great purchase was the Kenshin Dragon Quest standalone game unit, the predecessor of the recently released Wii game Dragon Quest Swords. Even though KDQ originally cost something like $65 when converted from yen to US dollars, they were selling it for just $15, plus about $17 shipping. I suppose it was a final clearance push, since it had been released 4 years prior. At any rate, I have had good experiences with Play-Asia.com, except when they sent me 2 identical trading figures (two blue Darius Silverhawks, from the Shooting Game Historica trading figure series), even though they were packaged in clear plastic wrap; now that's just being cruel to your customers. By the way, Play-Asia.com has 2 other Sega-licensed products by AtGames besides the portable Genesis. Both are plug-and-play controllers with Genesis games, but one is a 2-player thing, with fewer games. If someone here does get the portable Genesis, do review. onmode-ky

My guess is that your posts aren't major turn-offs, I think its cause people haven't realized that its two different products. They look alike in the pics and I myself assumed it was probably just the same kind of thing. Anyways, has anybody seen this one in a big box store yet?
