Nognir
I got this some time ago and I experienced a problem. Always when I insert a game I get the following screen: This happens with every game I insert and I have nearly twenty of them so It has to be something with the console. Can anyone help? theking21083
I usually get that when it can't read the game. If you havn't tried cleaning your games and cartridge port then I would do that first. I believe it makes that screen if no game is detected.

theking21083
To clean the carts you just need q-tips and rubbing alcohol. If you don't have rubbing alcohol then use water but just make sure that the cars are dry before inserting them into the console. Use the q tips & alcohol to clean the contacts on the carts. To clean the cartridge port I usually use an old credit card or something similar and put a thin cloth over it. I put some alcohol on the cloth and slide it into the cartridge port and move it around to clean off the contacts. Then after everything dries just test it out and see if you get any better results. Ze_ro
This seems to be a common problem with dirty Odyssey^2's... it happens to me a lot too. --Zero
Nognir
I tried to clean it now, but the only improvement I got is that the failure screen is slightly different every time I turn the system on. So maybe its already dead..
kirin jensen
I tried to clean it now, but the only improvement I got is that the failure screen is slightly different every time I turn the system on. So maybe its already dead.. It's doubtful it's dead. You're getting a screen, so it likely the contacts. Stupid question time: Are you sure you're inserting the carts fully? Do you have a voice attachment plugged in as well? If so, have you checked to make sure that it's properly inserted?
Nognir
I'm already searching for a replacement on ebay.. to your questions: yes I've put in the carts like they should and I tried eight different games. Also I don't own a voice module for the videopac.
Ze_ro
Before you throw out the system, try using some sandpaper on the system's contacts. I've had some games that I just couldn't seem to get clean, so as a last resort, I scrubbed the contacts with some fine sandpaper and managed to get them working. --Zero
