doctorclu
Ok, go with the default game... in other words, keep hitting B till you get to play. So far I have only made the first checkpoint.
Isgoed
What is the default game? Me myself, I thought that the Giant Slalom would be a cool event to play. There are 4 challenges, each with 3 races. Everybody could submit their fastest laptimes. This is just a suggestion, I will take a look at the default game you mentioned.
RJ
go with the default game... in other words, keep hitting B till you get to play There really isnt any "contest" element to that...maybe it's my own cartridge settings (though I reset them) but pressing B gets me to the freeride snowboarding, no times, etc, contests elements involved. I s'pose we could just see who finishes the most runs, but man that short 2nd or 3rd one is a BITCH for me, just falling short every time. (wish I hadnt reset my cart ) I think maybe one of the timed events would be better to use...Im thinking no one's going to get past that difficult freeride SB run. Isgoed
You are right, RJ. The default game is nothing but a freeride. We could play "Downhill Compete". 4 challenges, of 3 races each. The fastest time of the 3rd race of each challenge must be submitted, since the 3rd race is the most difficult of each challenge. Any thoughts? Kasumi Ninja
What about selecting the Downhill course in training mode. There are 4 races in total to practice on. Select each one in order and take a photo of your best time. Submit the 4 photo's (one for each race) and add up your times. Obviously the player with the lowest overall time is the winner. You could complete all courses in about 5 minutes or so, so what do you say? I think it could be more interesting this way......

Hmmm... overal, I think I'm liking the Training mode idea... go through each set of four races, average up time. I like the snowboard better, but overal do you think it matters? Leave that up to the player on which they want to use?
Kasumi Ninja
Yeah I think you should leave it up to the player, as it's just down to personal preference. I prefer the Snowboard too, but might try skiing just to compare times...... I don't really want mine up first, as people might laugh at my rubbish times! doctorclu
Ok how about this... Set to training. Run all three events, do all four courses for each event, average your time of the four courses for each event. Up to the player on weither to use skis or snowboard, just let us know which you used. Kasumi Ninja
Are we going to take a photo for each course on each event? That would mean 12 photo's! Otherwise we'll just have to trust each other. Maybe if you beat the course record or get very close to it, then post a photo then. If you're getting rubbish scores, then don't bother! Maybe if you beat the course record or get very close to it, then post a photo then. If you're getting rubbish scores, then don't bother! Basically on your honor. And don't worry about scores being rubbish, I may own the 8-bit high score club for 4 contests in a row, but I set the low bar for Jaguar games. Except Bubsy. So don't feel bad, just join in. doctorclu
Not much time left on this... give it a shot and post your scores before midnight tonight. Next month is looking promising with either Zero5 or AvP... the votes are still coming in, but either way it should be a lot of fun!

kevincal
Finally got around to playing this game a bit. The graphics are nice and move extremely quickly. The control is very touchy.. I could see myself having good fun with this after some practice. Sucks how the cart doesn't save your high scores though..
