360 for the exclusive downloadable content and achievements.

PS3 for future downloadable content

If this is true, (Which I hadn't heard a thing about it, if it is) It wont be the content that's on the 360 unfortunately.

It's all over gaming sites and has been for awhile...

This extra content is the result of a deal they made with Microsoft and is exclusively for the Xbox 360, it will not be released for the PlayStation 3.

Since that announcement, nothing has changed. The 360 will still be getting 360 exclusive episodic content. gamesindustry.biz and several other sites are re-reporting this as if something has changed, but it has not. The 360 exclusive content was never under question and remains that way.

There were some rumors of PS3 exclusive downloadable content at one time, but that died out a long time ago and I've not heard anything else about it. Could you point a person towards the information about extra PS3 content?

The Trophies I'll care about when they launch Home whenever that is. (Autumn?) I'm not holding my breath waiting for it I know that. :P

Moycon.... No, I don't have any insider information or haven't read any stories about definite DLC for the PS3.

I'm simply assuming that sometime in the not-to-distant future that there will be DLC for the PS3 because it makes sense. I don't believe that Rockstar is going to sell several million copies of a game to PS3 owners and not think of all the additional money that can be made from DLC's. It might not be the same DLC as 360 owners get but I'd be willing to bet that PS3 owners (or PC owners) will not be locked out of DLC for GTA.

But that brings up an interesting point.... MS payed $50 million for DLC for the 360: is that a good deal or not?

For example, if 5 million 360 owners buy GTA and then also buy the DLC package for $10, MS has made their money back. If a 2nd package of DLC is released for $10, MS has made money. But is the $50 million Rockstar received from MS a good enough amount of profit for them to ignore all the possible profit from selling the DLC to 5 million 360 owners, several million PS3 owners, and who knows how many million PC owners??

Hard to say. Like I said I most definitely did hear about PS3 DLC, even exclusive content, but it all kind of dried up at some point and I really haven't heard much about it since. If I had to guess what will happen. 360 owners will get the exclusive content pretty quick. Rockstar won't be able to release that content on another platform because of the exclusive contract they have with MS, but then maybe later additional different GTA content will be released on both 360 and PS3. This is just a guess though. Haven't seen any definite news about it except for the exclusive that MS paid for, for a minute I thought maybe you found out something different. I guess it's also possible part of that exclusive contract was that Rockstar won't release any DLC on another platform. I haven't heard that either though so I doubt it.

As far as was it worth it? Hmmmm If this thread is an indication, it might have been worth it, but I don't guess a thread on AA is any way to judge. I think GTA is going to be a HUGE hit on both platforms regardless. Pre-orders have been crazy high and early reviews of the game are already calling it a 10 out of 10!!

Just saw the price the other day. I'll buy whatever version costs less than $30 when it's well used. IMO, $60 is a little steep for GTA.

Unless it's an instant stinker, be prepared for a 6/7month wait. It took Bioshock 7 months to reach the current used price of $34.99 at the local GameStop. Not that I'm comparing the two games, just figure the video stores will try to get as much mileage off this game as possible.
