cimerians
I picked this up since I'm into Escher at this point (taking art classes). Anyway I'm not sure if I can recommend this to everyone since the controls are a bit awkward. I'm thinking on a PC with a mouse it would be a whole lot easier. Also, the whole point of this game might not appeal to everyone. And another thumbs down to Sony for not including a Demo, instead they give you a lame streaming video. Still its a very cool concept and the game can be a little addicting. The game almost reminds me of that old Colecovision game "Illusions". You control the entire three dimensional board on the screen (unlike in Illusions). Picture a maze in 3D or just do a youtube search. A small wooden puppet (like those used by artists) starts walking around the maze, lemmings style, to designated checkpoints. In order to get him to the checkpoint you need to flip the maze around keeping in mind the laws of perspective that the game teaches you briefly in the tutorial. In can be quite challenging and the game definitely makes you think about perspective and physics. I have to give it a thumbs up but be warned. You will either like this game or hate it. Do a search and see for yourself before you buy. Again, this is a great example of why Sony NEEDS to get demo's out.
xenomorpher
They did release a demo. I downloaded it and played it last weekend. They might have taken it off, but you could have downloaded a demo for the PS3 or PSP I believe. Anyway, I actually liked it. Controls are a bit odd but it's nice you can "stop" the guy from walking by pressing the button that triggers "think". I could see myself buying this if the price wasn't too high. I had a lot of fun with the demo.

I applaud the new Store Sony has put out.......... but when compared to XBL its still a clunker in my book. I like the game too. Just wanna warn people though that its a bit 'different'. +SpiceWare
Different is good. Katamari Damacy is one of my favorite games on the PS2.

Whenever you're on, look under demos. I think I understand you now. Whenever the XBOX LIVE Arcades where released, they always had the trial version on top of the full version which cost x amount of MS Points right? They do need to improve it more somewhat, the interface, and the small text. I can barely read it on my 19" standard. Thought about getting a HDMI to VGA or DVI to use on my 19" widescreen monitor eventually.
pmpddytim
There is a demo. I downloaded the demo, and promptly purchased the gamed after about 10 mins of playing the demo. I think its great. Controls are odd at first but once you get'em down its not so bad. If you like puzzle games I would say give it a go. Its costs $9.99. -T:)
sidcrazy
I downloaded this game last night, and I really dig it. However, after talking to a friend he claimed that it was a rip off of a C64 game. FOr the life of me I can't remember the name of the game he said. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Regardless Echocrom is a great game in my openion, and I hope we will see more games like this in the future.

Probably Realm of Impossibility The game title comes from the fact that many of the mazes in the game represent optical illusions, similar to those popularized by artist M. C. Escher. Surfaces that appear vertical turn out to be horizontal, and other illusions can confuse the player.
