jahfish
I find it hard to believe that two companies taht weren't related would come up with the same artwork and the same name for albeit a different game... this is what i think as well ... i am sure that a whole lot of pirates came out the same factory ... maybe bit corp was just the programming section of a bigger network. Or maybe Ample Ace was actually the programming company (if they weren't Bit's exporting partners): http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...ERSION_ID=19852 their website says: "In 1990, Ample Ace formed a computer design division for the development of computer graphic technique applied to fabric printing products" it also says they were importing/exporting fabrics before, but why the hell is their stamp on a bit corp loaner cart then??? i don't think that there has been many many different production plants for video games back then ... china is known for having many business companies sharing the same ressources. in 2009, it is the same company - a few miles away from hongkong - that produces the shoes for nike, adidas, reebook as well as many more well known sports and skate brands of the west. different moulds, different production materials, same machines doing the job .... jahfish
It's true that Funvision and Suntek have some (artwork) connection, but I just can't find any direct link between Funvision and Bit Corporation. as i mentioned before, bit corp run into some legal trouble at some point and tried to pass as some korean company ... this was probably the time they released more and more stuff under different labels ... that might also explain why their own re-releases didn't say bit corp on the label anymore ... again, that is also just an assumption, but i think it is a pretty plausible one. could be that someone else was producing the carts and that they were just taking care of the hardware/programming part .... maybe we need to find out more about Ample Ace ... i've tried to get in touch with them and will let you know what comes out of this ... if the email won't get a reply, i'll have a chinese friend calling them to find out more ... Rom Hunter
That one is pretty cool! Do they actually have Puzzy, Bit Corp, or nothing for a logo though? The instruction manual is a mock-up. That box is a thing of beauty. About Puzzy: I truly believe there are no more Puzzy titles than these: http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft.php?MEN...ASC&TRI=REF As you can see Open, Sesame (PG204) is the last in the Puzzy series. It's possible that Puzzy boxes of Open, Sesame! exist with a Puzzy cart in it, but Pangasinan's box already contains a Bit cartridge and manual, so I think at this point the Puzzy brand was changed into the Bit brand. Also, exactly these four titles are the only ones carrying the Puzzy logo in the Goliath series: http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft-MENU-2-...I-SOFT_LIB.html In short: I think you'll have a very hard time finding a Puzzy box carrying model nr. PG205 or higher. BTW: Pangasinan, could you make a scan of that Open, Sesame! cart? YOK-dfa
Mine does, and I live in PAL country. But the label is clearly PAL. Hmm interesting, mine doesn't roll and i'm pretty sure my old TV doesn't do anything else besides PAL... Anyway, just came here to mention that i managed to grab a Jungle Fever / Knight on the Town PAL double-ender. Is that one still considered a R10? I am quite happy with it, although i missed out on the boxed Surfer's Paradise and Treasure Below a few days earlier (did anyone from here manage to grab those)? Link? Look what i found. It's a small world afterall Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/125289-pal-rarity-guide-r10s/page/7/#findComment-1704341 Share on other sites

staberinde
Just like this still unfound Time Warp: BTW: I noticed that the label artwork of Inca Gold slightly differs from the artwork on the b&w Time Warp cart shown above (which can also be seen on the Spider Kong box): http://www.atarimania.com/zoom_frame.php?T...amp;NUM_IMAGE=0 http://www.atarimania.com/zoom_frame.php?T...amp;NUM_IMAGE=1 Interesting, eh? Almost looks like a male and a female version of the same concept. Yeah you can see a progression, as the artwor is being redrawn. I always thought the Time Warp was just a mock up since it came from a Funvision system manual. Then when you showed me the alternative artwork (a Spider Monster box IIRC) I thought maybe it might actually exist. I think you even the noticed back then the slight difference between labels. When Inca Gold was found I was like Holy Shit those carts are real. I think Dino and Stab both noticed the slight difference in artwork too. You guys have such good eyes. Time Warp exists T-Handle (PAL) but not found with this label (yet). I wonder if it is found would it look like Inca or the mock up? Like the mock up Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/125289-pal-rarity-guide-r10s/page/7/#findComment-1708997 Share on other sites
