(Supposing you win both the default and advanced contests.) Start off on the default level. Post your scores, and then move on to the advanced level. Be sure you let me know which score is which so you can get proper credit. You will get credit for both levels. (Minimum of 4 points total for this game.) If you choose to only play on the advanced level, I will give you a two point credit for bypassing the default level (and vice versa.) If this doesn't seem reasonable... let me know. This is the best I could come with due to the difference in the difficulty level, and at least give everyone a fair shot at scoring decent points. The harder settings must be used in order to obtain any ranks higher than Admiral. Since there were no game settings specified I an assuming that any or all are applicable. In general I'm more than happy to play the excepted default setting so as to keep everything on an even keel (no pun intended). This game is probably on oddity in that it ranks differently based upon difficulty settings. I did try it a few times on the expert setting and it certainly is a lot more challenging. I think we are going to have to up the difficulty level to advanced Two issues: 1) After Admiral, it doesn't get any harder, I could easily play it forever. 2) Score counter only does 4 digits. Goochman Posted June 9, 2008 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Make sure you are playing the correct version where the helicopter actually shoots at you - there is a cracked/pre-release version which is alot easier to play - we had this issue last time we ran this one. Sounds good. I just recently played this game for the first time when it came up in the poll. I don't have a whole lot of information on it. So, I guess advanced would probably be the best... I am really not all that worried about a screen shot... I know there are a few people that will roll the score... but not too terribly many. Shannon Posted June 10, 2008 Share Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) Try configuration->Video/Skin Configuration->Set Game Screen Size/Position Press X so you can see the game. Press start until "Current Aspect Ratio Mode" says "Best configuration". Size the screen so you can see it (right analog trick). They must really push this one to the max cause I had to shrink it down quite a bit just to get it all to fit!! a8isa1 Posted June 11, 2008 Share Posted June 11, 2008 OK I found a convoluted way of doing screen shots. I have QMEG Plus OS on my 800XL. I freeze the program. Save a snapshot to RAMdisk. Write the RAMdisk to real disk (ATR actually). Reverse the whole process in Atari800Win Plus. Do my screenshot. LOL! Yes, it would be easier just to play the game in emulation but I prefer the real thing and I am overjoyed at a chance to use the paddle controllers! Unfortunately, this does not improve playability. Its not just the helicopters shooting, even the grunt planes are extra evil now!
