Dead XF551

XF551. Doesn't seek or anything on powerup, sometimes motor will spin up on powerup.

 

Has EPROM labeled "XF Dual 3.5 ©1991 CSS" No epoxy blob soldered in, but there was one with the drive. Looks like it had been soldered in at one point and then removed.

 

Need either:

1) instructions on how to reattached the epoxy blob (about 10 wires)

 

- or -

 

2) Original XF551 EPROM (or a 'new and improved' one that doesnt need the blob)

Do you have an eprom burner? If not I can send you an XF551 rom for the cost of shipping it.

 

I don't have any instructions for re-installing the dual driver upgrade though.
