Between the odd jump dynamic and the collision detection issues it becomes serious stress relief giving the mallet to all the seals and birds that get in the way. vdub_bobby Posted August 15, 2008 Author Share Posted August 15, 2008 (edited) Actually, the jump physics are pretty similar to Mario Bros. - not a lot of horizontal movement when you jump and difficult to jump onto platforms since, annoyingly, it is easy to bump your head but unless you get your feet well onto the platform you will fall down. darthkur Posted August 15, 2008 Share Posted August 15, 2008 I think Mario moves a lot more horizontally than the ice climber does. It seem that in IC you jump, get about half way out and then just stop. Anyways, no biggie. Just something different to get used to. I have never put as much time into it as I have just recently. It does get a bit easier to complete the bonus top parts of each board, eventually. But until you finally get used to it's oddities in control it's a real hair-puller. My doctor told me today I, more than likely, have an ulcer.
