Possibly dead XB1 Mod chip?

Hey guys, you were able to help me with my 2600 problem i had back in the day when i first joined this forum so i think i 'll give it a shot here.

 

About 5 years ago i bought an xbox with the sole purpose of putting in a mod chip. flash forward a couple of years and it was working fine - changed my dash from evox to unleash x and no problems. about a few months ago i fired her up after keeping her in storage for a while and instead of booting up to unleash x, it boots right to the date/time setting screen. i set up the date and time and restart the system, and instead if the boot screen saying "xecuter2" it says "microsoft" and boots up to the normal MS dashboard. it would continue to do this until about a week ago, and now it wont boot up to unleash x at all. the system works fine normally (boots games and i still have acess to my saves), but doesnt boot up unleashx.

 

could this be a dead chip? it has LED's on it that light up inside the system that still come on, but i m stumped. i dont know what version chip i have or what version of unleash x i have. the system manufacturing date is 5/27/02 (if that helps).

 

any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd assume loose/broken connection before anything else.

 

Carefully check all the soldered conections on the mobo. If you're using that <expletive #69 deleted> pogo-pin header, reseat it.
