xybot67
Wow, that is a great conversion. Does anybody know why the development was stopped?
newcoleco
Wow, that is a great conversion. Does anybody know why the development was stopped? The development stopped first because of lack of free time, but I'm not sure he will continue and publish. I also think this version is solid, but Steve put aside the project for an unknow period of time. I think his version of Pacar is the greatest mod he did for a game port... he added a map editor and a cool turbo indicator. IF ALBERT READ THIS MESSAGE. PLEASE ERASE THIS THREAD. Pixelboy
Well, while this thread is still here, I just wanted to say that Steve did a great job on Wild Ride. Let's all hope it will be finialized one day. Thanks Daniel! Edited September 11, 2008 by Pixelboy
Nukey Shay
IF ALBERT READ THIS MESSAGE. PLEASE ERASE THIS THREAD. You could just edit your original post to delete the attachment, if a "limited time only" deal was your intention. But why? Al's probably got the space to leave it there for as long as AtariAge.com is still registered.

I have to ask why you would post the binaries of ROMS of something that belongs to someone else? Did this author grant you permission? I am assuming that since you have these you are testing for him? If so and you are doing this without his knowledge...not good my man.....not good. This is not to bust your balls either but It does make one wonder why you'd post this in the first place and act as if you should not have. newcoleco
I still have a hope to see new games published by Steve Begin, specially because he got about 100 casings, and almost the same number of pcbs and eproms during the year 2007. And this thread will not change that. This will not justify this thread, but at least gives you a reply. I lost contact with Russ Kumro and Steve Begin in 2007. Both of them are afraid of releasing their games, and I think it's related to the untold story around Space Invaders Collection. Last time I talked with Russ, he was doing 3 new Coleco games including PuyoPuyo renamed Twin Puzzle and SideTrak renamed LocoLoco. Last time I talked with Steve, he was supposed to do a competition version of his original game named Wizard Siege, but he stopped all contact two weeks before the competition... the organisation did an Intellivision competition instead, and I did my best to promote ColecoVision homebrew games, including the latest game released by Scott Huggins, without Steve, between some games of DonkeyKong. In 2006, when I've got these beta versions, I was at the Arcadia festival in Montreal with Steve Begin. We both did our job to promote new ColecoVision games and to answer questions. I was pushing games made by Eduardo, Scott, Mathieu, Russ and Steve. Promoting new ColecoVision developments and gaining visibility for the ColecoVision homebrews was and still my first objective. This year, I'm not able to show any of these ColecoVision games at any show or gaming expo. This summer, I contacted someone named John Swiderski who claims to have the rights for all the Exidy titles. I saw many programmers losing their chance to be in the discussions and to receive recognition by the Coleco fans... just because they never release what they do, mostly because they are afraid. Now, the roms are no more available and I'm convince that people are smart enough to appreciate playing these beta versions and buy the official cartridges release, which I hope will happen soon or later. opcode
Both of them are afraid of releasing their games, and I think it's related to the untold story around Space Invaders Collection. Hi Daniel, Just curious, what is the untold story around SIC? Eduardo
Nukey Shay
But that would be telling Probably about the immoral activies the collection was rumored to be involved in...the wild parties and such. Wasn't there a picture of it in bed with four girls at once?
newcoleco
Hi Daniel, Just curious, what is the untold story around SIC? Eduardo If I say anything now, some people will accuse me (again) to just be jalous and I don't want that. So, if you consider there is no real story, no issue, then my appologize. There is something I want to say is that I had a great time testing the beta version of SIC with my friend, even if there was graphic problems at that time... and somehow I was happy to be part of the adventure. After SIC, you did msx conversions, but I always did expected another from scratch game project, and my guess is it exactly what we got with Pacman Collection. So, long live to your ColecoVision projects. Take care.
opcode
Hi Daniel, Just curious, what is the untold story around SIC? Eduardo If I say anything now, some people will accuse me (again) to just be jalous and I don't want that. So, if you consider there is no real story, no issue, then my appologize. Actually I was just curious, really. But that's ok, if you don't want to tell, no problem, I completely understand...
