bergbros
My best score I have is a vendor that I use to buy games. I mentioned his name before in a previous post, Paul Robinson. He sells all of his games for $9 a pop including shipping. I got Battlezone, Warbirds, Zarlor Mercenary. Rygar, Gauntlet, at $9 apiece, new in the box. What is ironic is that I got his name after losing one of his Ebay auctions. Other than that, I just won an Ebay auction for a Lynx Grey Matters T-Shirt for $5.95 plus shipping from Heavy Sixer. I guess that makes me a card carrying Lynx fanatic.
holygrailvideogames.com
Does he still have those games for $9 including shipping? I would like to get Battlezone and Warbirds.

eric_ruck
My best score for the Lynx came from eBay. Bought Marlboro Man for, I don't remember, a reasonable amount. When it arrived there was another PCB game in the box and a note to the effect of, "I found this so I threw it in". Turned out to be Loopz. bergbros
I am bringing up my thread, "A free Plug" so that you can contact Paul Robinson. I ask that you be patient as Paul's job caises him to travel around the world. He will get back to you and might send you his updated inventory. Sothy
Lynx + Lynx cloth bag with velcro pockets for the games and 7 loose games - 20 bux at flea market.
NE146
I dunno... my entire collection of the original Lynx and Lynx carts were all bought full retail during their time at the stores.. Come to think of it, I think I was the only one buying Lynx games at the local Software Etc. Anyway, to be quite honest, in spite of all the attention (and money) I gave to the Lynx during it's day, I found myself playing Gameboy more.. go figure. Atar1G1rl
My Lynx collection is at a stand still right now. The best thing I was happy to get a hold of was Ms. Pac-Man loose for a cheap price.
bergbros
Oh, I forgot... My best finds are trades I make with fellow Lynx collectors, many who post here. It is really a great way to increase your collection and, more importantly, it builds contacts and friendships within the collecting community. I made trades with people around the world and was able to increase my collection by at least ten cards through this process. It also gratifying to know I was able to help someone else's collection without the hassle and competition of Ebay. I hope all of you out there can take advantage of the Lynx community, which although is not as numerous as the 2600ers, is extremely knoweledgeable and helpful to other collecotrs. Sothy
Well today "sunday" I just had another great "my 2nd" Lynx find in the wild. Same swap meet i got my last syetem from i found a lynx system with the battery cover yay, only its a bigger "i guess older model...didnt even know there was differnt models..big lynx fan i am haha" with 5 games turbo sub, electrocop rygar and another stipid basketbrawl. So thats 4 games i didnt have before. Im gonna have dig up the lynx list theres no lynx rarities in the new digital press guide and ive never even seen electrocop before at a store or anything. anywho paid 25 bux total for all that today. electrocop is pretty cool had a neat bladerunner type intro screen kinda impressive graphically i cant figure out how to open up doors but its got neat 3d type gameplay and graphics. mini games like asteroids and breakout you can play if you go up to a computer monitor in the game. orkear34
i was looking to pick up another Atari lynx. can you really have to many? I found one on yahoo. It said as is came with no games. He said does not power up. Well i needed some parts for one of mine so i bought it. took it out of the box. I put a game in it and some batterys. You should have seen the look on my face, it worked perfectly!!! The guy never tryed it with a game i think. I paid 9.99 for the lynx. Wish i could do that everyday!!! Harry_Dodgson
My best score was when HMS sent me the unencrypted ROM image for Battlezone 2000 a year before Atari decided to release an earlier version. My second best score was when I logged into the official Atari game developers BBS and found the encrypted image for "Marlboro Go" free to download :-)
razor1000
Two or three years ago I went to Value Village (a local 2nd hand chain) and found a Lynx I that was a little beat up (scratches, etc). It was $3 I think. Took it home, put some batteries in it, and it powered up fine! It had California Games in it! Handhelds is an area my collection is lacking, but I've got a Lynx! I've had a very similar experience. It does not have to do with the lynx, but at the cinciclassic I bought a Turbo Grafx 16 that the seller said you couldn't move left with any controller, some problem with the system. I paid $6 for it with 1 game, then I bought a controller for $4, so $10 all together. When I tried it at home, it lets me turn left fine!!!! So I guess the deal wasn't that good, but the fact that it works when he said it didn't is kinda kewl to me.
Atari Smeghead
Most all of my best deals have come thru eBay. It's been a godsend for getting a healthy Lynx (and Jaguar) collection at a decent price. Other than "winning" a lot of decent games cheap ($10 Blue Lightning, $10.50 Double Dragon, lots of games for $2-5) the best deal was the system, pouch, battery pack, and 8 games (all good, all ones I didn't already own, including Lexis and Ponx) for $65 with shipping. Since both of those games sell for $40 or so, I felt that a savvy deal. Then, I turned around and resold the system, bundled with 15 games that were doubles or ones I didn't like, for $80. It's fun when things work out that way, huh?
orkear34
i just bought 3 atari lynx's on ebay. they were semi-working. One had a bad main board. One had a bad D-pad and one worked fine except it would not work with batterys. I had a good main board. The d-pad was not broken. just needed to clean the inside of it. And the battery thing. Well i just needed to streach the spring, so now the battery work in it fine now. All in all. I fixed all 3....Did i tell you i only paided $20 for all 3? bah ha ah ha ha...
