I have a tech installing the internet in my house next week so for the first time ever I can game online, yes, sadly I have never had a home internet connection I was wondering what the best online games are for the PS3? I also started a similar topic for the Wii (since I own both) I like versus style games so sports and 2 player fighting games come to mind first but I am really looking for anything that is fun. Hot Shots Golf was going to be my first purchase. Not really into military simulation games like Call of Duty, etc.. but stuff on the unrealistic side like Mercenaries 2, etc.. is cool. Reaperman Posted October 15, 2008 Share Posted October 15, 2008 (edited) well I just got into ps3 myself, and can only say what I've seen with my games, and I've been having a blast with motorstorm (up to 200 folks online last friday night with US servers). ...haven't exactly been having a blast with resistance--fps games aren't really my bag. still it's popular, and far more people play it. might want to grab the grid demo--which is an online racer and free is my favorite price. It's 2 online tracks and 2 cars, but that's not bad for free, and a fair number of people play it... I'd also like to find a nice fighting game though. A 2d one, and maybe sf4 will fill that gap for me. also playstation home should be launching soon, which (I think) lets you hang out in game lobbies before you buy the game and you can figure out what's popular. really most of my online is buying/downloading stuff from the playstation store. Argh I just traded that game due to basically unlocking everything I could. Didn't even cross my mind that it would be an awesome on.line game.
