82atari5200
I have an tandy 1000tl that has only 8 bit slots. My hard card shorted out an now I don't have a hard drive for it. Is there any 8 bit pc interface cards that enable you to use compact flash like there is for just about every other computer in existence? 82atari5200
Can u use a scsi card with drive for it? As long as it's 8bit it will work. I was hoping for an 8 bit ide card so I can use compact flash. I'm over old hard drives. I'm repairing/Dr. Frankensteining a Seagate St251 right now. For a 286 system I have. Going to finally build my computer room.
Seob
Don't know if a 8 bit ide card will be able to adres a lot of memory. Don't think a 1 gb card will work because of the system limitations.

guitarmas
This thread should help: http://www.vintage-computer.com/vcforum/sh...ead.php?t=12753 Those questions are **cking hilarious. People with those kind of questions shouldn't be allowed to open a PC. Edited December 5, 2008 by guitarmas

Lord Thag
If you have the hard card already, couldn't you solder a ribbon cable from the hard drive connector to an IDE->CF adaptor, and use a small flash 256/512mb compact flash card?
