What are some arcade games that were never made into a console version?

The only port of STUN Runner was to the Lynx, until Midway Arcade Hits 3

I, Robot has never appeared on any console.

Scud Racer has never appeared on any console.

I don't think Arctic Thunder has ever been ported

Many of the laserdisc games have never been ported, although most are emulated through Daphne or MAME.

The biggest and most obvious omissions are the Incredible Technologies Games that use the 3Dfx platform: Golden Tee Fore!, Silverstrike Bowling, and Golden Tee Live!

Mappy was also available for the NES via pirate carts from Supervision. Technically not an official release, but if you have an NES I thought I'd mention it if you're looking to play it because Supervision carts, at least last time I checked, aren't that expensive.

Arctic Thunder is one of the harder to get PS2 titles. I've only ever seen two copies of it. I own one and I sold the other years ago.

I was thinking the exact same thing. ;)

She's probably in her mid-to-late 50's.

She'd probably get a kick that someone actually dug up a picture of her from a 30 year old modelling gig that she's probably long forgotten.

And then she'd get depressed that she looked pretty damn good back then.

Even if she was an infant in that pic (1976), she'd still be too old for most of us. :)

I was going to say Astro Invader, as it was a favorite of mine, but then I remembered it was called Kamikaze in other parts of the world, and it was liscensed for the VTech Laser-VZ. Dont ask me, I have no idea.... I just read it in the games info file in Mame. Other games that come to mind....

Asteroid Deluxe

Space Invaders Deluxe (Deluxe Invaders for Atari 8-bit was good, but not licensed).

Journey (Game from DataAge for the 2600 was NOT the same game)

Lunar Lander - There was a port for the C64 called Jupiter Lander

Moon Cresta (Eagle)

Red Baron

I'm confused... you must not mean that, White Knight, or else you only go for much younger women, since according to your profile you were 4 in 1976.

I said "most", I wasn't necessarily talking about myself or not.

Of course, I'd prefer a 24 year old, but I also "prefer" a Lamborghini, yet drive a Sable.

S.T.U.N. Runner was also released on the C64 and other homecomputers.

I do not believe that Jump Bug was ever released on a console.

Jump Bug was released on the Arcadia 2001.

The lynx version was excellent! I have the actual machine and the lynx version does it justice.

Space Invaders Deluxe (Deluxe Invaders for Atari 8-bit was good, but not licensed).

Lunar Lander

Moon Cresta (Eagle)

Astro Invader - There's the port for the CV Astro Invader

Asteroids Deluxe - Version for the 7800 Asteroids Deluxe

Space Invaders Deluxe - There's always the Collections for both the CV and 7800 plus a port of the CV one for the MSX.

Lunar Lander - It's on the Flashback 2.........sort of.

Moon Cresta - Is on Nichibutsu Arcade Classics for the Super Famicom, on the same cart with Crazy Climber and Frisky Tom. Nichibutsu Arcade Classics

I mentioned Scud Racer...I thought of a few others: (Some of these aren't the oldest games, but they've still never been ported. Most aren't even in MAME.)

Star Wars Trilogy (Sega. It's in MAME, but doesn't work.)

Psy Phi (Sega - wow this would be tough to port!)

Mario Kart Arcade (I still want to race as Pac-Man!)

Top Skater (Sega)

Dolphin Blue (I think that this is the Atomiswave game that didn't get ported.)

Warzard/Red Earth (It's in MAME and the CPS3 emu though)

Sega Race TV

Dactyl Nightmare

Space Lords (What a great game!)

Spider-Man (Sega)

OutFoxies

After Burner Climax

Boon-ga Boon-ga (Could you imagine a port of this?!)

Don't let your woman read that; she might read too much into it! HA HA HA

Sorta like why guns are better than women: Because you can trade in your old 44 in for a new 22! :) :D

I'll trade you a 22 for a 44 any day.

:o I didn't know Nichibutsu classics was released for super nes. I know the psx-compilation (with revised versions too). And Moon cresta was released to ps2 too.

Also you can find Moon Cresta available for spectrum, amstrad cpc and c=64.

Tengen in association with Domark converted some coinops to 8 and 16 bits homecomputers (spectrum,c64, amiga, atari st...), but I don't remember Thunder Jaws as one of them. Was available for any system?

I always wished a conversion of 2 spanish arcade games: Altair and Destroyer :P

...

Boon-ga Boon-ga (Could you imagine a port of this?!)

My friends' six-year-old son had the same reaction when he played Mario Kart Wii for the first time... "Can I be Pac-Man in this one? No? Why not?"

And a port of Boon-ga Boon-ga would require a special controller. One that I don't think could ever be used for any other games.
