DaytonaUSA
I posted this in my other thread, but no one responded.. so I'll put it here: I have a question for you, and it's bugging me... I have an Emerson bluetooth headset. It looks very similar to the black official sony one. It has one main button to turn on/off and answer calls, and then volume controls.. that's it. I plugged it in via USB and registered the device, then entered in the code 0000 to make sure everything was high and dandy. The bluetooth headset is there, connected... everything. Here's what's puzzling me though. When I go into Warhawk, it doesn't seem to be DOING anything. When I press down on L3, nothing seems to happen when I talk... and there's no headset symbol near my name in the lobby. How do I make this work? EDIT: and I did the turn on mic, or open mic.. or w/e it's called in the options for warhawk and still nothing. Should I just return this and bite the bullet and spend 50 on the sony one? moycon
I am using a head-set that came with a black berry I got from work. To be honest though I never actually tried it out I don't think. I was able to get it connected just fine for a game of LBP we were going to play, and I assumed it would work, but then we wound up not playing and so I never did find out. I was under the impression you could use any 2.0 blue tooth headset you wanted. I think this was one of the guides I had pulled up when I set mine up. (Although like I said I guess I haven't really confirmed mine works either) http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstatio...hread.id=898874

I'll check out the other guy's advice on my other thread as well. It is a 2.0 device though, I made sure of that when I purchased it. Everything is showing signs of it connected.. just not in games. I'll post back here once I find out more.
Reaperman
headset works but not in games. I know what that is. headsets have to not only be registered, but selected for use as audio input and output devices. there's another menu for it--useful for people who have the headset and the camera (which has a mic) for example. just switch input and output from default to your new device and that's it. Don't have my ps3 in front of me right now to say exactly where the menu is. 'Audio devices' maybe--it's a different screen than the registration screen, but this screen is also good for testing and allows the setting of input volumes if I recall. I missed it my first time too--they should have made it more obvious what needed done there.

DaytonaUSA
Wow, the communities are so very different between Warhawk and SOCOM. Warhawk, most people aren't on mic, and don't really talk at all, but the game is inviting, and fun for everyone.. even when you lose. I've found that SOCOM seems to have a lot of the 360 type LIVE players I tried to get away from. I finally found a good room, but one room literally team killed me because I had bad stats (of course I do.. I just started out). It's like, were these guys born there? No. And considering within 3 rounds in the other room I joined I was in 1st place in my team, I think judging people by their score and then consequently shouting at them in the mic calling them a few choice words is pretty immature. Wonderful community...
