zombiecraig
I've been out of the MAME loop for about 4-5 years. I used to use MAME32, but I guess that is now defunct. I used to be able to check ROM status with MAME32, but how do I now check whether or not ROMs are current for MAME .129, if I were to update to that? And what else do I need? I still need samples for certain games, I assume. Anything else? I saw something about CHDs? But, I assume those are only required for certain games (probably more current games), as well. Also, is there a list of all of the current games supported by MAME? These used to be a text file called gamelist.txt or something like like, but I couldn't locate that anymore. Nukey Shay
Current Mame32 is version .119, I think. CHD's (hard drive images required for certian games) have been around for quite some time. If you are using Mame proper, best bet is to use a tool like Cmpro to check your rom directory for outdated sets. http://lazarus.org.uk/index.php?burners is still the best way to aquire a current (.129) set.
