DaytonaUSA
One week! :D Who else is getting this?
keilbaca
I have it preordered for the 360, and I am making a joystick today just for the game. I can't wait!
bdog_147
I am interested in this game but I am not sure if I will get it right away. There are like 4 games or something like that coming out this month that I want but can only afford one or two at the moment.

You don't get the main sequels to come along but almost every decade haha .
Reaperman
I'll buy it, but not now. I'll wait for price to drop. Capcom burned me on their bastard SSF2THDR, and I don't feel like spending $100+ (game and controller) just to play street fighter. When I buy the stick for King of Fighters XII, then I'll probably buy SF4. speaking of which, the two series are finally going to be on the exact same hardware (taito x2) so it will be interesting to see how they match up. the 'first location test' videos of KoF look darn impressive (vid link) but the game's obviously not going for 'full 3d' like sf4. Just curious, what was bad about SSF2THDR. Never got to play it. Also, you don't need to spend 100 bucks to play street fighter. The ps3 controller should suffice. And if not, I know there are PS2 to PS3 adaptors out there. I'll be getting one so I can use my Street Fighter RYU controller from my PS2 to play this game. (nice pad btw ). Reaperman
Just curious, what was bad about SSF2THDR. Never got to play it. oh I ranted good and long about ssf2thdr here. and I haven't really played it since. it was good for a morning worth of annoyance... In short every fighting game you've played since 1995 or so was worlds better than ssf2thdr. careful on the ps2-ps3 converters--some have limits about simultaneous presses. I actually already have one of those, though I've never used mine to see if it has the problems. Believe it or not, I don't have a good ps1/ps2 arcade stick either. I have bad arcade sticks for them though, and maybe that'll be good enough (prior to this gen, I haven't been a heavy sony gamer) Edited February 11, 2009 by Reaperman

It's black with light up blue leds. I know sticks are expensive, but like I said, they made cheaper pads at least . You can get a "saturn" type fighting pad for the PS2 I'm sure. Thanks for the info about the converters.. I'll do my homework before I buy one. If you know of any brand of one that's good lemme know. bdog_147
Are you getting the standard or special edition?
DaytonaUSA
Are you getting the standard or special edition? Standard. I don't really need the movie disk or the figure, ya know?
liveinabin
I'll pass. I was terrible at SF 2 through 3. BTW, Daytona - is your controller stick working OK now? That's going to make SF interesting. Although not as interesting as playing Soul Calibur on DC with the fishing rod. That's a mans controller! That's going to make SF interesting. Although not as interesting as playing Soul Calibur on DC with the fishing rod. That's a mans controller! Yea.. i know it sounds silly, but it wasn't broken. Instead of tapping X to exit a vehicle, I was holding it down...thus when i moved my control stick to move my character (run) it instead was moving me to the other position in the tank/4x4. So thank god I resolved that .
dreamcastrip
I'm not a fan of the series by any means but after having read/seen so much about this game I couldn't resist pre-ordering it a week or so ago when I saw it on sale at a great price. Please let it be as good as the reviewers are already stating...
Shawn
If anyone has an extra Ryu and\or Ken figure to sell or trade LMK.
+Cafeman
I bought this on X360 today. The revenge moves are great. Parrying is back via personal moves. Well, I'm still learning. Good form CAPCOM.
bdog_147
Got the game today. Played it for an hour and a half. I forgot how much I suck at fighting games. Still enjoying it however!
Reaperman
Got the game today. Played it for an hour and a half. I forgot how much I suck at fighting games. Still enjoying it however! I think that's why I don't own street fighter 4 yet. I love fighting games, but I'm mostly average at them. however what I consider 'average' is *FAR* inferior to the actual average street fighter 4 online player, who seems to have played nothing but street fighter games for the last 15 years and has the full moveset and its weaknesses memorized. (meaning that I used to consider myself fairly good at street fighter) I played ssf2hdr online, and *once* managed to find somebody of my skill level. I never found anybody really below my level. I wonder if street fighter is even attracting any new fans at all. Edited February 20, 2009 by Reaperman

(meaning that I used to consider myself fairly good at street fighter) This is pretty much why I haven't picked up SF4. I'm just not as good at these games as I used to be (SF2 HD taught me that). I might pick this up sometime when it goes on sale, but only for offline play. The only fighting game I'm still good at is Marvel vs Capcom 2. God how I wish they would re-release that. DaytonaUSA
The online mode alone is so fun. I haven't had such a big grin on my face from playing a game in a VERY long time. Bravo.
