Godzilla
That does seem like a lot of dosh, but still let me know if u ever get a point where something is real and has a real price, tho, honestly, you'll sell a lot more if it doesn't cost as much as some cars. Michael David Morsette
I make a small poll to know how many persons would be interested to buy a lynxvision. It would be a small unit that would be connected to a modified lynx . If there is enough demand (and if the realization is not too much complicated) I intend to produce these machines before 2010. If there is not enough demand, then this machine will stay in my archives … If you are interested, here are the three options : 1-Yes, I want this machine and the price is not a problem. 2-Yes, I want this machine provided that the price does not exceed 800€/$1000 3-Yes, I want this machine provided that the price does not exceed 400€/$500 If this is "still in the archives", I would buy one if it is produced. 2-Yes, I want this machine provided that the price does not exceed 800€/$1000... Though if budget permitted price would not restrict me Edited July 30, 2012 by MrBland
rygar
I could not take care of this production because it would have costed far too expensive to produce and sell. But the project is not abandone, someone else more "professional" cares now. Be patient and may be will there be a pleasant surprise one day. GadgetUK
$500 is a bit steep imo, surely the video output cant be that complex? My guess is with a microprocessor, and a few logic chips you might be able to convert the video signal into something more useable? I know the original convertors contained a fair few chips, but they didnt have the cheap microprocessors back then and not at todays speeds. J_Mac
I have another idea. How about a USB cable system that attaches the Lynx to a computer. Play using the Lynx for the controls, and the computer for image and sound - with power from the USB cable. For around 25-50 bucks Huh Huh Heheh this thought occurred to me too couldn't be too difficult surely? USB has a Pd of 5V after all... You could use this to map the signals from the Lynx: http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm Switch schematics are given here: http://www.atariage.com/Lynx/archives/schematics/Schematic_Lynx_UR_High.html Can anyone see any potential problems with this (not very detailed) plan?
