cimerians
Quite possibly the strangest, disturbingly cute game I have ever played. With Dig Dug sounds thrown in to confuse and prod me even more. Katamari was one thing wierd but I really need to smoke what this guy is taking for this new "invention" of his. That drug must be good for him to think up this....whatever it is. Download the game from the psn store (its only 5 bucks) and see what I mean. If anyone has played it, can ask one question? When you swallow stuff do you have to stretch for it to "stay" in your "stomach"? Edited February 20, 2009 by cimerians
DaytonaUSA
Can you tell us what the game is like? I'm interested, but I'd like to know more than the obvious eating things...

I dont really know how to explain it.......its like pac-man without ghosts and Katamari without sticking things, rather you stretch around like Stretch Armstrong (the 1980's toy) You basically move\float\stretch arount a map swalling stuff (and the reverse). There is no goal other to eat stuff and show the girl in the universe something and then you turn into a girl or something (along those lines) I dont know but its not really a full fledged game other than something to amuse yourself and its somewhat addictive. The maps are strange. I dont know man....try it I think its worth it for five bucks (skip a fast food meal for a day or whatever) just on sheer strangeness. DaytonaUSA
Haha, sounds good. If it's made by the same guys as the ones that did katamari, you can't really lose. Now, if we could get Katamari on the PS3 eventually, then I'd really revoice. Heck, I'd even take HD remakes in the PSN store of the originals on the PS2. Oh I know what you mean....HD remakes would be insane. (or any HD remake of a PS2 title) I would actually pay for an HD remake even though I own the original......how idiotic I am. moycon
Sounds interesting for sure. I'll have to check it out.
liveinabin
It's really lovely. More of an art piece than a game, I guess, but Keita Takahashi is a really great artist, so that's fine I do like the way that your score gets you nowhere, but the whole world's score combined is what moves the game along. DaytonaUSA
I bought this a while ago now. It's... interesting. However, I'm not sure how to stretch farther.. I think I got farther by shrinking, going to a new planet and a few new locations then stretching again. It definitely seems my noby boy is muuuch larger now though, so i guess eating things and stretching is doing something. I only have the Moon available atm. For a game that really is fairly boring on paper (sometimes in gameplay too lol), it takes hours of your life away. It's very different from katamari, though in a way, I'm kinda glad. cimerians
I know, I'll play it and then look at the clock and a few hours have passed...
moycon
I've got this as well. It's quirky and strange I will say that. It is in some ways similar to Katamari. (Cartoony colorful, you try and get bigger, crazy visuals) but it's no where near as fun as Katamari. Worth the $4.99 but I think DaytonaUSA put it best, it sucks up your time, but reflecting on that time is really kinda boring. Probably a great game to play right before bed when you just want to relax and chill.
