brett6400
How much postage would it take to mail an Activision patch? My guess is 37 cents. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1381730357
CPUWIZ
You think that is bad, look how much 4 Atari 7800 carts cost to ship: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1381499244&rd=
Albert
At any given time there are probably tons of examples of shipping charges that are excessive given the *actual* shipping charges to mail an item. When someone states these charges up front, at least a careful bidder can simply ignore the auction, or write the seller and ask if he or she will lower the shipping charges. I've done this before on some items and usually the seller responds positively. Some sellers charge the same amount for *anything* they sell, and when confronted with an obviously high shipping charge (like the $5 for the Activision patch) they are willing to be accomodating. But then some rely on that extra "padding" to help boost their profits, and you probably won't get those sellers to budge. And of course, if a seller doesn't state the shipping charges, it's very important to write and ask what they are before bidding! ..Al
