We seem to have gotten to a point where Wiiware is seeing much better releases than Virtual Console from week to week. Is it really that hard for Nintendo to release more old games that they can profit from immediately with no manufacturing costs? We've trickled down to almost one VC title per week, and that one per week is split between somewhere around 8-9 consoles. Its like pulling teeth.

All that aside, another Contra! Sign me up! I just found the NES Contra and Super C at Value Village in flawless condition. Great buy!

I don't mind digital downloads so much, so long as there's a healthy disc-based lineup as well. I would also like the promise that if I download something digitally that it will always be available to me, even in the face of such events as a company trade, takeover, or closing.

To that end, for every $10 I spend on digital downloads, I probably spend about $200 on disc-based games as well. The message I hope that sends is digital downloads are fine, but I want to keep major games (the ones I am most interested in) on store shelves in physical boxed that I can wrap my hands around.

Sounds fine. I'm not saying 'never' either. If something in the league of Mega Man 9 or World of Goo strikes my interest again, I might just go for it.

Also one should be able to trade it with friends or resell it. Even then, it's missing the box, the manual, the magic of opening it and it doesn't go into a vitrine. Imagine getting just a WiiWare game as christmas present. Meh.
