I just got my "Harmony Pre-Production Special Edition Cartridge!" Whoo-Hooo -Thanks batari, cd-w & Albert & Fred Quimby and Thomas Jentzch! I have cart #30. I am getting ready to test it now & try and figure out how to use it(no instructions with it). I'm sure I can figure it out, I think. :) I have several SD cards and USB-male -to- Mini-B male cables.

How did I miss this? How much and how do I pay you?

(I'm posting from my Wii, I'm on the road and couldn't find the info in the middle of all the tags the browser doesn't understand)

Are you able to click on a link? If so, click on this:

And don't play with your Wii on the road. It's disgusting.

Harmony works just fine on a 7800...

Can I get some clarification here... does Harmony work for 7800 rom images on a 7800, or just 2600 images on a 7800?

I just ordered a 7800, and I'd eventually like to try out homebrewing on it.

It's after thanksgiving, got a date yet?

There's another thread where he talks about the release being three weeks from now...

I am currently offering the run of production samples for sale to some on the preorder list (some may have an email from me about these already, or maybe today or tomorrow they will) and in that email I mentioned the full production run will be available in about three weeks. That is still my estimate.

Is there any picture of the Harmony cartridge itself? I wish it is not bigger than normal game cartridge and will fit nicely on 2600 Jr. How come you can support Pitfall 2? Does that mean you are using some extra hardware emulation? And what about Supercharger then?

Yes, it is a standard Atari case.

The Harmony cart is based on a pretty powerful ARM CPU. This allows emulating the extra hardware of Pitfall 2 and many more things for games yet to come.

And what about Supercharger then?

Works too. :)

Why is that font used in menu so small and "scanlined" difficult to read? HW limitations?

It looks much better than what you see in the video.

..Al

It's a hardware limitation of my video capture card, not the Harmony. My capture card only captures every other frame, which is why you are seeing the "scanlined" image. I think someone posted a better video later on that better captures the actual appearance of the menu.

Mine arrived today, and I must say it performs even better than my high expectations! The menus seem to load very quickly (I was expecting a bit slower due to the 2600's speed) and moving through lists of games is also very quick. The font used for directory listings works very well on a tv, so no troubles there. All in all, a 5 out of 5 product!
